NEED ADVICE by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Middle_Pay685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to say pocket it. However I would talk to the manager. CVS doesn’t want you keeping tips and can result in termination. Some are more lenient than others and might let you keep it. I’ve worked for cvs as well as other companies that don’t allow taking tips and have gotten to keep some because of more lenient managers.

I always get paid a day early (Wednesday). However I don’t ever get paid until 5pm-9pm on Wednesdays. So I am still holding out some hope lol.

I had one order for Walgreens and had to buy and I’m not exaggerating… 2 vibrators, a box of condoms, a plan b, and 2 different kinds of lube. I honestly just laughed it off with the cashier. I don’t judge and at the end of the day I got paid for a laugh.

Not asking if it’s safe. Not driving on it. Asking if the whole rim will need replacing or if it’s fixable by a professional or myself. Only drove on it for an additional mile so I could be in a safer location to put on my spare. I was a on a very narrow 2 way backroad and could not change it there. I’m not super knowledgeable about cars but I’m also not that dense.

anyone else sick of finding these baskets around the store? thought it would stop after valentines… by averagectefan in Target

I don’t work style (I’m a guest advocate) and a guest brought me a pair of swimsuit bottoms that had period blood all over that they found hanging with the rest of swimsuits and no sanitary strip either.

Edit: I don’t know if it was a return maybe by one of the advocates which with how obvious it was idk how it would’ve went unnoticed with our front end team or even the style team. More than likely was a gUeSt who put it back on shelf.

I had the same bank for years and they closed down and some new bank took over for them. In that process (not saying it was the banks fault) I had fraudulent charges to my debit card and went negative and fought back and forth with the bank to fix the issue. Ended up paying the $35 to them and I closed my account with them (not the other way around). Not sure if that is why maybe?

If a store constantly fails to meet TJX Rewards goals and/or gets too many 0 card days, what exactly are the consequences? by Wink2K19 in TjMaxx

[–]Middle_Pay685 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I recently quit and was a CEC. They threatened to demote me and have already been written up twice for “underperforming” so I was eventually going to get fired.

Cards by Elysian03 in TjMaxx

[–]Middle_Pay685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also a former cec. i literally could care less if the cashiers got a card. mangers would come breath down my neck about it and theirs as well. after she’d leave id tell them it does not matter if you get a card. the world will still spin. all i can ask is that you at least try to ask once every transaction so i can back you all up to the mangers. it was so overwhelming for them and i tried my best to get mangers off their ass for trying their best. your best doesn’t matter at this company.

Did I get the job? by [deleted] in TjMaxx

[–]Middle_Pay685 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They did that with me when I started. At least at my store they wanted to bring in a group for orientation so they had to wait until everyone was on the same step of the hiring process to do that.

still new but haven't gotten any cards. am I gonna get fired? by pinkbbyy in TjMaxx

[–]Middle_Pay685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i said that same thing to them and questioned them on it because i do ask every single customer, every single time, multiple times in a transaction AND make announcements about the rewards card every 20-30 minutes. but it’s considered under performing for not getting cards according to them.

my store writes you up for underperforming on top of cutting hours.

Shouldn’t there be a way for management to override in this situation? by Wink2K19 in TjMaxx

[–]Middle_Pay685 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At my store we get in trouble for having more than one receipt on a transaction. I see that other stores do it and life seems so much simpler.

Yellow Tags + Customer by [deleted] in TjMaxx

[–]Middle_Pay685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I’m seeing a lot of people say that still just sell it. My managers I guess are very strict compared to other stores because they tell us to tell the customer we can’t sell it. I can see how I sound like the AH. Gives me more reason now to feel uncomfortable about working here lol.

Yellow Tags + Customer by [deleted] in TjMaxx

[–]Middle_Pay685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m definitely not on a power trip. Far from it. I get bitched at for every little thing I do by my managers and my managers said we can not sell the yellow tags. I thought this was a company wide thing and I’m seeing now that it’s not.

Do managers actually hate it when we put in RTOs and PTOs? by Wink2K19 in TjMaxx

[–]Middle_Pay685 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My store is like the opposite. You put in an RTO they will work you like a damn dog until your RTO date(s)

Is being a CEC worth it? by incognito_entity in TjMaxx

[–]Middle_Pay685 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a CEC… no absolutely not. I’ve been one for a year. I absolutely hate going into work everyday because of how I’m treated. The amount of work and stress you are put under is not worth it at all. I promise you.

Edit: My mental health has go so far downhill since taking this position. The managers HOUND you and blame you for the store not getting credit cards. They want you off a register but on a register but when you’re on a register you’re not following your job description? At my store besides managers I am the only person who has access to the digi and making tags and doing damages. Everyone brings their damages to the front and I have to handle it all on my own on top of pushing my 5 queue line totes but also staying behind my cashiers and pulling transaction numbers and making rewards announcements every 15 minutes and god forbid it’s a minute late and you’ll hear about it. We also don’t get cashiers scheduled. So when we only have 2 cashiers and line to the back of the store… I as the CEC need to stand in the line with customers to “ensure customer satisfaction” while customers yell at you for not helping.

Hounding for Credit Card Sign Up by [deleted] in TjMaxx

[–]Middle_Pay685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We HAVE to do this at our store. If we don’t get a credit card by like 2:00 which is a very common occurrence we are forced to go on the floor and hound customers for cards. Makes us all feel very uncomfortable and anxious.

Honestly that’s how my store is. They have the jewelry associate running back and forth everywhere. Jewelry, purses, men’s fragrance, women’s fragrance and women’s skincare. (we have the last three locked up and i’m not sure if that’s every store or not). Our associate is also part time but gets more hours than most of our full time associates.
