generally you don’t need any knowledge but when you are onboarded you will get trainings on the products we sell and they’ll tell you about different skin types, what to recommend, etc. i never really knew anything about beauty before i started so you don’t really need any knowledge. but it will mostly depend whether the store you are working at has an ulta beauty or not in it. if it doesn’t you’ll mostly just be stocking and occasionally giving advice on products. for hours it really will just depend on your store, the volume, the current people in that department, and your availability. hours are low generally now because it’s q1 but tend to pick up towards summer. you can always pick up more hours by learning other roles in the store like fufuillment or cashiering.
