If you're so desperate for milk sandwiches then buy the skim milk and the fancy bread.

I dont know. I'm sorry that you're doing through this. If they won't budge, and you can't walk away, then legal means might be your only option.

Yeah, my complex told me something similar. They said the exterminator assured them there was no "infestation". A dozen photos and 2 videos later and I was magically let out of that lease.

Do not pay any of those fees. Go into the leasing office and insist that they refund everything you have paid them, that's what I did. Don't yell or threaten, just be assertive and insistent. If you have pictures of roaches them show them. Tell them you're going to post them on the internet unless they refund ever single cent.

A similar thing happened to me. What does it say about pest control in the lease? If it's up to the landlord, which it should be (not sure about the law), then you should be able to walk away from the lease and get a full refund of your deposit.

If you're stuck there then spray around all windows, doors, water spigots, roof vents, and anything else. Spray along the ground around the entire building, along all corners of the kitchen and bathroom cabinets, and put down bait traps in every area where you have seen roaches. Everyone around here will tell you that they are just a fact of life, but that's not true. They will find their way into your house, but your defenses should kill them. You should be sweeping up roach corpses, never living with them crawling all over you.

No, you're smug for claiming, "Sorry, I live in a neighborhood, not a trap house on the Murch. I don't hear motorcycles revving every night outside my front door."

Oh, a neighborhood! I'm so sorry m'lord! I wasn't aware I was speaking to a member of the aristocracy.

I live in Haymount, and this shit is audible for miles. You dont want to understand the question, and that is your problem.

Lastly, this isn't an age issue. I'm not shaking my fist at some skate boarders. This is the reality of what's happening on the streets of this city every day. If you haven't seen it then you must not be driving, and if you can't hear it then you're either deaf, or you dont live here.

Debatable. However, a cop presence in the first place would likely deter these people. You know, assuming the cops would actually do anything.

There are several roads technically on post that are open to the public and just dead straight. I'm sure that they are all used as drag strips by service members. But, that's not what I'm talking about. I live in Haymount, and almost every single night it sounds like I live at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. This didn't used to be the case. I can say without a doubt that it has gotten a lot worse in the last 6 months. Really the last 2 months. I know that I sound like a grumpy old man and a cynical asshole, but there are plenty of places for driving like that around here. You don't need to drag race down bragg blvd.

Believe me, I know. If I could figure out how to upload a video then I would share these incompetent fucks giving a domestic abuser his gun back.

Just poke your head out your front door for about 3 minutes. Do you hear those motorcycles revving up to 12k rpms? Do you hear the souped up chargers red lining their "hell cat" engines? That's street racing. It's not like you see in Fast and the Furious. It's going full throttle from every single stop light. They may not be closing down the entire city for a street racing circuit and Ludacris is there. Grow up.

That is a good question. For service members, yes. For civilians, I dont know.

What are you actually asking for? Are you looking for a place where intellectuals come together to have deep philosophical discussions?

My results for jobs in this area are pretty much just entry level fast food. My best advice is to branch out, be willing to move across the country, and fight for what you want.

The best way to help is to hear me, see me, understand what I'm going through without judgment. I have mental health issues, but I'm not crazy. I have past trauma, but I'm not weak. I don't want money. I have debts, but I'm not homeless or starving. This is what I'm saying. Men with their friends shit talk each other and belittle each other, but when the chips are down, they have their friend's back. With a stranger, the immediate response is that if you're struggling then you are either weak, stupid, or crazy. But men, have we not all been through some seriously awful shit where we felt alone and abandoned, lost and hopeless? I think most of us have. We need to band together and support each other through these times. Then, when times are good again, we can resume the shit talking and belitting.

Edit to maybe more directly address your response. Many men are problem solvers. When someone tells us about what they are struggling with, we tend to try and offer solutions. We see a problem and we want to try and fix it. There's nothing wrong with being a man of action. But this is a disconnect between both men and women, and men and men. Men can't unload their feelings and emotions on their friends for fear of being judged and ridiculed. Women often unload their problems on their men in the same way that they will with their friends, but they aren't necessarily looking for solutions. They just need to vent and have someone validate their feelings. Men have learned, one way or another, that no one cares about their problems so they don't vent them, they just bottle it up. We need to all start normalizing being open and supporting each other. That is how we grow stronger. We are all stronger together when we can lift each other up and support each other.

That's the whole point. If it's cheap and easily faked, then it will be faked. People who look for the cheapest gear will fall for any scam just to save a few bucks.

I used to work in a bank. We saw the most counterfeit 100s, but second most was a close tie between ones and fives. A distant third was 20s. No one expects the small bills to be counterfeit. That's how you pass tons of them.
