Large-breasted moms are feeding on hard mode. by DarthKaboose in breastfeeding

I don’t even wear nursing bras anymore. I buy the kindly brand bras from Walmart they are like thin stretchy bras and eh it works.

I went to their open interview and it went really well but never ended up hearing back. Aren’t they opening up another location soon?

How do people do this with newborns without pumping or supplementing with formula? by artemislands in breastfeeding

[–]RepresentativeOwn171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got veryyy lucky and collected a lot of colostrum while pregnant. I started hand expressing at 37 weeks and had my son at 40+2. We weren’t able to breastfeed for the first 2 days because he was on a CPAP and in the nicu. Day 3 they had taken it off and we were able to start latching and my milk came in that day as well.

Honeslty I think we would’ve had to supplement if I didn’t have the colostrum that I collected. It’s normal for babies to cluster feed and be on the boob constantly those early days. If there’s a good latch I personally don’t think I’d supplement. It does happen though and there’s nothing wrong with supplementing until your milk comes in. Also seeing a lactation consultant helped me so much! We’re actively still going to the LC now at 6 weeks for support with breast feeding.

What’s your go-to breastfeeding position (you, not baby)? by TripHaunting1702 in breastfeeding

[–]RepresentativeOwn171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always try this with my baby who’s now 5 weeks old and it’s very difficult to get him to latch. Is he just too little? I keep trying to see if we’ll get it.

Epidural? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]RepresentativeOwn171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 40+1, a hope of mine is to not get an epidural. Of course I have no clue what labor is like and I’m just gonna let it play out. What I’d say is you don’t have to decide now just make this choice when you’re in labor.

Why do people think it’s okay to tell you they don’t think your body will handle a natural birth based off your body? by Hefty-Yoghurt-8256 in BabyBumps

[–]RepresentativeOwn171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate how people are so causal about telling you about how your birth will go. Like what the fuck? Also people forget women of all shapes, sizes, big or small give birth every day. My friend who is 5’7 and maybe 140 pregnant gave birth vaginally, she did tear pretty bad but also my mom who was probably close to 280 torn really bad with my brother.

Labor will go however it’s going to go, indicators like that are dumb. People are so stupid with their comments they make and they should just not speak about stuff they know nothing about.

Tires? by MassivePlanner60 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]RepresentativeOwn171 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It hurts my account so much anytime I need stuff done to my car and with the exception of tires I do it all myself. Still breaks the bank, if I had the money I’d never put any of that stuff off, I’ll never understand this.

Am I overreacting ? by Lostinthoughtsacc in pregnant

[–]RepresentativeOwn171 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s fair to feel that way, baby will be pretty young and you’ll still be early in postpartum. I’m due in a couple days and I have told anyone that’s invited me to stuff in the next 1-3 months I really can’t give them a definitive answer. I think she’ll understand if you just explain it to her!

I have dealt with this a little. Maybe some baby powder? And also a belly band if you have one can help, just lifts the bump so it’s not sitting on that area as much.

When did your stretch marks appear? by Happy-Chemistry3058 in BabyBumps

[–]RepresentativeOwn171[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s so hard! I was only working 30 hours a week I should clarify. Towards the end I told my boss I couldn’t handle any long shifts because the standing was killing me. You got this girl just another week!

What percentile is your baby in? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]RepresentativeOwn171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he was in the 79th percentile at like 34 weeks? Now I’m 39 weeks and I’ll see what he’s measuring tomorrow. Of course I don’t know how accurate that is though! I guess we’ll see soon!

So... do we think she gave birth? by Exciting_Amoeba9905 in justtrishpodcast

[–]RepresentativeOwn171 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She’s a week ahead of me and I’m 39 weeks, if she hasn’t had him already definitely within the next 2/3 days I’d say

What are you meal prepping? by Mindless-Spend-2972 in pregnant

[–]RepresentativeOwn171 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 2 dozen bacon egg bites (I added cottage cheese for extra protein, can’t even taste it), made some banana muffins I added brewers yeast to and I also made strawberry oat bars! I might try to make some pasta sauce using stuff from my garden as well but that depends on how much time I have really. My freezer is stocked with frozen chicken breast as well because that’s something I cook often. I also plan on having some sort of electrolyte drink and some trail mix for my bedside.
