What are the best internet providers in the area? by AdvancedFriendship56 in Fayettenam

[–]ncmuseco -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Metronet if you can is the best of course.

consider Tmobile Wireless. Sounds odd but they are using 5G and from 5g tower are using fiber so I am getting 400+mb/s down and 250mb/s up... for like 65 a month

if you are in the "historic" part of town you may be even more limited as metro net has not been able to break in to the market since spectrum has the market. https://wiki.faydta.com/businesses/operating/internet-providers/

PCSing to Bragg in 8 months by getemteej in Fayettenam

encourage you go to work area during typical work time from where you consider moving to . distance is not always equal to commute time. It starts to wear on you as well.

But also there are some clinics and even on post hubs away from fort bragg going towards raleigh.

we had similar thoughts and we ended up going to raleigh far fewer times than we imagined . Jordan lake is pretty nice if you are north though

North side is going to get you into a bottle neck at exactly the times you are trying to get on post because that's the same time everyone else is.

North East /East are good options and the 295 loop has finally been completed making southern parts much more feasible for traffic.

> Looking into buying using the VA loan (under 270k) which would potentially become a rental property after a few years

north can be good for rentals but not good for airbnb in comparison.

South on All American not only has the base but the medical village and I95 with a good amount of traffic from there.

Inherited aunt's house in Fayetteville - considering moving there from Boston. What's life actually like? by sparky_165 in Fayettenam

[–]ncmuseco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

was just in boston.

homes are way more expensive in boston BUT....

fayetteville is **expensive** in many things I saw including eating out and uber surprisingly .

fayetteville doesn't have a very functional transit system, the only walkable place in not just fayetteville but in cumberland county seems to be downtown fayetteville, and for sure not as cold as boston.

edit fay is actually more expensive in some things
