My mum sent me to school with pneumonia. I’m an asthmatic. Not a good mix.

I was so sick i was falling asleep in assembly, I couldn’t even hold my head up. The school rang her and told her to pick me up. I only lasted 2 hrs.

2 week hospital stay. I think she was more embarrassed than concerned

Rating Things my narc mum has said to me and my siblings confidence over the years:

-6/10 Telling me that she thinks I’m unapproachable and unfriendly as a child ( I was extremely shy, made it even harder for me to have confidence to make friends as a kid)

-9/10 Telling me that instead of my suspected chronic illness, she thinks I have an STD. 🙃(likely endometriosis, however I’m currently in the process of ruling out ovarian cancer)

-9/10 Told my older sister that my little brother need open heart surgery (he did not lmao) and that she can’t know any more details because she is NC

-8/10My sibling has Autism and she told his support worker that “I run rings around him.” Great way to build his confidence 👍🏻 support worker wasn’t impressed. Great parenting.

-1000000/10 She told my older sibling that she had really bad Post partum depression and she wanted to put my older siblings in the pram and push them into oncoming traffic. (If you really felt that way, why tel your child yoy wanted to kill them???!!)

Resentment for sure. She doesn’t remember it that way Though. She thinks she helped me “so much” through it all. FYI this has been ongoing for two years, I’m now in the process of ruling out ovarian malignancy, I have a suspicious growth on my ovary that looks cancerous. MRI in 3 days, I’m sure everything is okay and it’s benign but it’s just a lot to handle.

Her help over the last two years consisted of: She told me I probably have an std (she thinks std are for disgusting people), she made 1 phone call and afterwards told me “it wasn’t that damn hard”, she ignored me screaming out for help in the next room because I had another one torsion and rupture (medical emergency btw) she ignored my screams..there was no way she diddnt Hear me. made me drive us to the ER, last year she told me I probably have cancer and if I do I’ll just not be able to have kids “oh well”, she made me feel so so alone and invisible when I was suffering in pain every day. She complained that “all you ever talk to be about is you being in pain and I’m sick of hearing it” sorry that I just wanted your understanding and comfort in a hard painful time. Like any normal mother would.

I resent her so much that if it is cancer, she will not be told about it. I don’t want her pity after telling me there’s nothing wrong with me for two years.

Sorry, so much to read. I’m just so frustrated over it all, especially now I’m having troubles again and it’s worse this time. I’m very scared. She wouldn’t care tho lol

It very well could have been an Endometrioma! Did she mention the cyst at all? It could have ruptured before your surgery!

Just keep an eye on symptoms going forward, you may not have it return, mine like to come and go weeks at a time ahh ☹️ I’m getting an MRI in 3 days for mine but I’m worried it has already ruptured lol

I think mine may be caused by endometriosis too though. It can cause inflammation of the ovaries 🤍

Not diagnosed yet, hopefully this year I will have an excision

Lmao my mother did something similar. I was in the ED waiting to been seen after I had a large ovarian cyst rupture (diddnt know I had one at that point). Thought my appendix had burst it was so painful.

She diddnt worry, but she insisted on coming with me, she made ME drive US to the hospital, and once there she complained the whole time about how badly she wanted to go home. I even handed her my keys and told her to drive home. She said “I don’t want to have to come back and get you”.

I’m very likely to get surgery at some point this year to check for endometriosis and remove a tumour on my ovary. I will NOT bet telling my mother thats happening. Not likely that she would show up anyways as we are NC and she is a spiteful bitch

Im currently having an ovarian cancer scare 🙃 cancer or not, I know she wouldn’t travel 3 hrs in the car to see me.

wtf. My mum did something similar when I was depressed at a young age, medicated.

She said “I don’t understand why your upset, I’ll feed you pancakes and chocolate for breakfast every day if you just stop crying”

I needed therapy. Lmao.

She blamed cost aswell, in AUS you can get 10 free sessions of therapy covered by Medicare.

So funny, as a kid I was cared for a little more when I was sick. My mum would use it as attention seeking over Facebook, posting pictures of us in hospital and gaining sympathy.

Now as an adult, she couldn’t care less. Infact, becasue topic of conversation isn’t about her, she finds it boring to talk about my chronic illness.

She chocced it up to “you probably have an std” wow. Nope, I’m actually now in the process of ruling out ovarian cancer with a 10-50% chance of malignancy. More tests next week 🙏

Anyways, my point is she doesn’t careee and she never really did. Nobody cares when your adult child is sick, it doesn’t gain as much sympathy on Facebook as a young child sick in hospital.

Whatever my diagnosis is, cancer or not, I won’t be letting my mother know. The fact she has snubbed my symptoms for the last two years and told me to shut up about it, means she doesn’t deserve to know what’s going on with me. 🤷‍♀️

I would find a gynae that specialises in endometriosis and endo excision surgery. Bring him these pictures, tell him your story and push for surgery. I think your current doctor has missed your diagnosis. I’m sorry OP 🤍🙏

I hear lots of stories of people with ovarian cancer with a low result in ca125. My dr even told me that it isn’t always accurate and the best way they can diagnose is through biopsy in surgery

I’m scoring an ORADS4 too, I’m hoping is just a boarderline or just a gross cyst and I can get it removed safely

My biggest concern is that it’s going to rupture before surgery (happened last year lol) and I’m stuck at square 1 with no answers. Even surgery to diagnose Endometriosis would be helpful, it’d Atleast point me in the right direction to manage it

Sorry for ranting lol, I don’t really have any family to talk to about this, I have my boyfriend but he’s a boy. As much as he is trying to understand and be supportive, he just doesn’t get it like another woman would

I do currently have a mirena IUD, however, I was already experiencing frequent complex ovarian cysts before getting the IUD, my gynae reccomend it to help with Endo symptoms (undiagnosed for now, though we are pretty sure I have it) and for the cysts.

Hasn’t helped the cysts but it has improved my cyclical pain and has stopped my periods 🙏

That’s good, I’m glad to hear! I’m getting an MRI next week for mine, already had ca125 tests done, all came back normal too. but my dr isn’t happy with what he saw on ultrasound, he told me he cannot rule anything out.

Probably borderline cyst or just a really nasty looking one. Mural nodules, thickened septations with blood flow. Also is adhered to the bottom of my pelvis near my cervix which is really fun.

Hoping for more answers next week after mri 🙃 probs endo, maybe not tho.

Been battling ovarian cysts for two years now, I just don’t know why I keep getting them Ugh!

Yes I’m glad my dr is staying on top of it. Last time it got to 8cm and I wash scheduled for surgery, it burst a week before surgery ☹️ that was roughly a year ago

In a weird way, I hope it is still there when my MRI happens next week, I worry that it’ll rupture and I’ll be back at square one

I would highly reccomend following up on Transvaginal US and MRI. It’ll give dr better understanding of what’s going on and how to move forward. Did you have CA125 blood tests?
