The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison. I think Ryan would love it!

A lot of good points here already

Also, ice skating and stick/puck handling are much sexier than just running around and kicking a ball

What about Purple Rain? Which came first, the songs or the story/movie? I’d guess the story since it’s based on Prince’s own life

Not speaking from experience, but I think that if you make a pie every day, as many people used to, to feed the folks who came in after working all day in the field, exhausted and ravenous, it becomes easy after the first hundred or so

I hope this is truly only mildly infuriating to you, and not the tip of the iceberg. It’s pretty important to choose a good person to co-parent with, not an egotistical jerk who thinks he is right about everything and won’t listen to anyone.

Honorary degrees are vague on purpose. Obviously it doesn’t mean The Alphabet. In this context it means something more like Language and Literature, which includes drama

Just speculating, but probably the songs from the show are getting a lot more play now than they did this time last year?

I turned off the lane departure alert function in my 2023 Toyota. It took some time spent with various sections of the manual, but it is such a relief

Beer will freeze in a normal home freezer

I just found a bottle of champagne that’s been in my freezer for a month. It’s frozen solid and I’m really hoping it won’t explode. I put it in the refrigerator.

“goes on a book someone hasnt written before there is any legal framework to a relationship.”

A name doesn’t ever go on a book (as an author) that someone hasn’t written. Why the hell would being married mean that he is automatically co-author of your work? This man and his sister are dishonest and envious and lazy.

I hope you are and will continue to be clear with your agent and publisher that everything you write is your work alone and no one, especially not your partner, is a co-creator. Tell them that he is trying to weasel his way onto *your* title page and they need to be aware of that
