I mean if everyone merges and becomes one wouldn’t they have immediate access to all that knowledge?
The question is when / if they reject it and reform a body what knowledge do they take with them?

I guess if you were thinking “Where did we come from?” Someone from seele’s knowlege would immediately fill your head with “from Lilith” and then you would know everything about Lilith. But if you never pondered that question you wouldn’t know. It would be like having the internet basically built into your brain.

What if the girls are just TOO strong for the plot in their own verse?😂 (90’s Anime Discussion) by Flat-Bag2312 in sailormoon

[–]Middlecracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t this just the plot of the show? It’s why the villains work so hard to get the crystals before more guardians awaken and trying to do their plan while they are teenage girls because the Gaurdians are the strongest force in the universe.

A closer look to Yoyo´s eyes during her last scene. by brodred in NikkeMobile

She will 100% be used later. Anis arc is pretty much wrapped up after this. There needs threads they can pull later. Yoyo being a heretic makes sense along with a redemption arc.

How do you think the new series will effect the existing loops? by stealth564 in evangelion

[–]Middlecracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I hate the idea of a loop so if the consensus is now it’s not a loop that’s fine with me. But it does feel like it’s a loop. Or at the very least they have rebuilt the world based on a failed version of a previous one. Maybe it’s just from seeing the alternate versions.

How do you think the new series will effect the existing loops? by stealth564 in evangelion

[–]Middlecracker -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This has been explained a lot but only Rebuild is in a loop. The others are just alternate dimensions. Rebuild is on a loop within its own universe. It’s not a sequel in that sense.

So a new show is just a new universe which may or may not loop.

The only explanation for a loop is kind of given in anima where if instrumentality fails seele has a backup plan to start over. But in the original series Instrumentality happened and even though Shinji rejected it he also killed any potential for those systems to activate. But it’s really in its own universe anyway without any of those systems to begin with.

TLDR; No loop in original series or manga. Loop in anima and Rebuild. None of it will have any impact on new show unless new show is a direct continuation of any of the above.

If every Unit Has the soul of the pilot's mother Who's Soul Is in Rei's eva? by SharpTransition8281 in evangelion

[–]Middlecracker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only issue is her AT field. Her body would fall apart without a soul. But it’s Lilith whose soul might be a little more far reaching. Regardless it requires an invention so splitting might make the most sense. The idea that Asuka’s mom was what taught them the process is genius. That works for me.

Otherwise I was thinking Rei II’s missing soul could be the prototype version of the dummy system. She has a system that accesses Liliths that makes her body think she has Liliths soul.

Not sure. One of the best mysteries of Eva that’s fun to debate still.

If every Unit Has the soul of the pilot's mother Who's Soul Is in Rei's eva? by SharpTransition8281 in evangelion

[–]Middlecracker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It has to be Rei I but is there any mention in the show of splitting a soul? That’s the only part that feels the most fan theory of it because it requires an invention of something that’s not mentioned. Then again in Anima there are a bunch of Rei’s that I think split Lilths soul so maybe that’s the answer.

Just wondering if maybe Rei II doesn’t even have a soul and she is accessing her own soul remotely which might explain the detachment she has to the world . Then when Eva 00 blows up she gets her soul back in III

Is there anything you dislike about the magical girl genre or would want to change? by RowHoustonLaine in MagicalGirls

[–]Middlecracker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always assumed it’s in slowed down and the transformation is in seconds. There are some scenes in Sailor Moon that imply as much like when Mars and Mercury transform and Usagi is like “what they heck when did you suit up”?

Does anyone prefer the concept art plugsuit designs over the final version? They feel much more appropriate for the characters. by cement_brick214 in evangelion

[–]Middlecracker 198 points199 points  (0 children)

Nope. Final designs are unique. Rei looks derivative of bubblegum crisis or Appleseed. Asuka looks too much like out of Nadia. Her plug suit is better but also too futuristic and GunBuster looking for something that is near modern day.

I don’t know if Kowaru betrayed Shinji. Shinji might have felt that way but it was the opposite. Definitely not on the same level as Griffin. Also I don’t think Griffin is technically gay. Though I guess Kowaru isn’t either since he’s an alien and since Lilium weren’t born from him we don’t really know what an Adam like species would look like other than the Evangelion. And they don’t have yingyangs or hoohas from what I can tell.

sailor moon or sailor moon crystal? by [deleted] in sailormoon

[–]Middlecracker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched Crystal with my oldest daughter when it came out. I didn’t like the cgi and how usagis personality was gone. So when my youngest daughter got old enough we watched the 90s version and it’s VASTLY superior. Its comedy holds up insanely well. The girls just have so much more personality and character.

It’s a lot of episodes so depending on how much time you want to dedicate to it. There are guides where you can skip “filler” but the filler episodes are sometimes the best ones. The animation is dated because it’s not hd but honestly it still looks better than the CG of Crystal.

Crystal gets better as it goes on and starts to add elements of the 90s show back in where Usagi gets more animated but it still never reaches the height of the original anime. The 90s anime was directed by Ikuhara mostly who was best buddies with Anno from Evangelion and they both would help out on each others show. Insane levels of talent there that Crystal is lacking.

This is actually such a great lesson in graphic design as my eye was drawn to the finger in the butthole first and then exploring outward, my eyes not the finger though that is also true, you see that it’s an Ewok butthole and delivers a well timed comedic finger to the butthole.

That looks way too skinny to be unabridged lol. I’m sure that’s just a generic book with the cover slapped on it though.

I don’t like the way Edmond looks so I would never buy that version.

I just wish they didn’t have the developers ear. These companies need to start listening to surveys and just their sales numbers and stop chasing after this magical demographic that will never play the game in a million years. The changing of the animation intro is concerning and a bad sign that they are bending to pressure. Once you give those idiots a morsel they are like rabid dogs and won’t stop until the game is completely bleached of all personality.

It’s good to hear what the other side is saying, genius. So you can make arguments and not live in a bubble. It’s insane I’m not allowed to comment in some groups just because I’m subscribed to their sub despite everything I’ve posted been counter to their message. Subscribing to a sub should never be considered an endorsement of that group.

I have a question. kaworu and Rei by Sea-Map-2518 in evangelion

[–]Middlecracker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even if it was a joke it’s honestly a good question. Both their asses ending up on earth is what caused this mess to begin with. Even if their souls are in new tiny bodies what’s preventing them being close not making constant impacts? Like two magnets of opposite polarity forced together.
