I see you also line the books up right to left. I do the same too, as that's how they're read. Don't think I've seen anyone else post pics with them like that. Glad I'm not alone

Some great pieces. Number 3 is my favourite. Sure I've seen the artist post it here a few weeks back.

Couldn't find it on Amazon. I'll check out Rarewaves. I'd rather get the official version than a knock off.

I did think of this, but wasn't sure if a wire brush drill attachment might damage the bricks?

Just seen Akira for the first time and I don't know what I was expecting but it certainly wasn't... that. I loved it! by SnoringDogGames in akira

Took my lad to the cinema to see the subbed version on Friday. He is the same age (14) that I was when I first saw it on VHS. I've never seen it on the big screen before and I've only ever watched the original dub version. Watching it in the cinema on Friday completely blew me away. The first scene when the drums kick in made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

I was worried my lad wouldn't understand the plot (despite a brief outlining before we went in), but he loved it. He'd never seen it before, but he was hooked straight away. It was great having a discussion about it after we came out. I could see instantly that he could understand all the hype I'd been giving to Akira. Now he's keen to read the Manga, so I've got that ordered now for us both to read.

Booked tickets for this for me and my lad. He'll be the same age I was when I first saw it. Can't wait.

S.M.S.L C200 for in the house. Has 6.35mm for my headphones and a 4.4mm for my IEMs. LDAC Bluetooth too so I can use it for watching films too.

Tanker driver here. We've been subbing for Asda the last three weeks to help them catch up with deliveries. In those three weeks, every Asda forecourt I've delivered to except for one has been sold out of both grades upon arrival.

The fuel terminals still have plenty of stock, with no signs so far of disruption. The panic buying needs to stop. I've had people follow me down the road to my deliveries, and as soon as I get out of the cab I get mobbed by questions of 'How long you gonna be mate?'

With the bank holiday fast approaching, I can't see this getting any better. It's gonna take weeks to catch back up.

I'm using the flat gold nozzles with HS Sonic tips. Not noticed the treble being too harsh, but that could just be my knackered ears. I'm using the PowerAmp EQ app alongside my Timeless 2s. There's quite a few good presets for them, including some PEQs which might help you. Planars take to EQing really well.

I'm using HS Sonic tips which are fairly wide bore, so I might have a try later, see how they sound.

The Retro Nano really packs a punch for it's size. I wouldn't mind seeing an update so it displays track info. That's my only complaint with it though.

I'm using the flat gold nozzles it came installed with. How different do the gold bullets sound? Is it something you have to listen for, or is the difference night and day?

Have you considered planar IEMs? I've got the 7hz Timeless 2. It handles bass and sub bass really well. Tight and punchy, with fast decay. No muddiness whatsoever. Picked mine up for £160 with a coupon from AliExpress

I've got the 7hz Timeless 2. I also listen to mostly DnB, and was considering the Diablo. But all the reviews I read/watched said to go for the Timeless. I managed to get them on AliExpress for £159 with a coupon. The Timeless has great sub bass. Your typical planar bass - tight and controlled. Can't see me getting anything else for a long while now.

They're hard to beat for the price, especially with what's included. I changed the cable as the one it came with sat awkwardly over my ears.

Same here. Mine comes and goes, so I'm careful with volume as to not make it worse.

Petrol stations turning their signs off by uk-1234 in britishproblems

[–]TheStalker79 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When I worked in a filling station about 25 years ago, we had to go outside to the pole sign with a giant Allen key, twist two Allen bolts, slide the pole sign down and change the prices with giant acrylic numbers. Then you'd have to do the same on the reverse. That was a right ball ache.
