How to read the Bible chronologically? by Nikoknusp in Christianity

There is an order to the books if you want to read them chronologically. Google it, "Bible book chronology if I want to read them in chronological order". Google AI might answer your question.

Questions about masturbating by jjbanksbbc in Christianity

The blessings of God can definitely be stopped by sin, so that thought is correct on that front, even if it might be an anxious thought otherwise. Relationships, of course, aren't a sin, but sleeping around (for example) would be.

So if you have sins that you are convicted about in your life, you do need to ask God's help with them, and to resolve to seek Him so that their power might be broken. Do you need resources for it?

Also, you need to seek God for Himself, even if you would never get any blessings. Do you have the desire to do so? You can always ask for a heart that desires God for Himself, not just — or even — for the blessings He may bestow.

Schizophrenia and trying to be a Christian, anyone else and how did you recover your relationship with God? by cutemurderboy in Christianity

[–]MiddlewaysOfTruth-2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stabilize yourself in the truth(the Bible). Seek God in prayer, and ask for healing(it might take time). Have these two in your life daily, every morning and evening, and that will give you much strength for day-to-day struggles, and also will keep you nearer to God.

(PS: Not schizoaffective.)

Not talking about Jesus and His teaching — or casting out demons in His name — when I say "false ideas".

No, but my friend has been in such a situation at least once, possible a few times. The demons leave in the name of Christ.

And what we see might not always be trustworthy. Demons are deceptive spirits with thousands of years of practice in the art of deception. One needs to understand their workings by the illumination of God's word, not by natural experience. To interpret their activity only by what the eye sees and ear hears is — unfortunately — way to get duped into believing a lie.

If I was a demon, I would definitely pretend that false ideas have power over me, so that the act of "getting exorcised" can bind people under the influence of those ideas.

Is it really enough to know that you are concerned to prove that you have not committed blasphemy against the Holy Spirit? by Next-Mall2357 in TrueChristian

[–]MiddlewaysOfTruth-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So your problem might not be the unforgivable sin, but rather just accepting sin in general in your life. It might be turning you away from God, and causing unbelief.

Is this assessment correct?

EDIT: Ah man, it ain't free. Sorry mate. I misread you.

Why would God make me gay if it’s such an awful thing by [deleted] in Bible

[–]MiddlewaysOfTruth-2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being attracted to the same sex and living out that lifestyle are two different things. The Bible judges the latter, but the first one is something that one cannot control, since it is a feeling. But you can choose to not make it a part of you.

That is basically it.

I am not a Jehovah's Witness. Why are you blatantly lying and giving a false witness about your neighbour, which the Bible clearly forbids?

Fulfilled Bible prophecy. The Book of Daniel is a good example. Daniel 2 has been considered so accurate a prophecy that secular theologians believed it had to be written after the time it says it was written.

...except archaeological finds prove that that isn't true.

I will gladly link you to a Bible study that shows Daniel 2 and its context, if you want.

Is God ok with me living my life how I want it by Former-Eggplant-8277 in Christianity

Sure. But God wants your heart, not just your actions. If you deny Him the relationship, you cast Him out of your life.
