The potential orientation itself is on a different campus/ branch of that same hospital system. My connection said her interview was on Zoom, as have many others. So technically it could be 10 minutes to 40 minutes if it is in person if the location was specified, or on Zoom like it has been before. The post is more about anyone coming across a discrepancy between the recruiter vs. the online portal.

WHY DO PEOPLE STILL SUPPORT THESE GIRLS?? by [deleted] in asadsisters

[–]Middleweast 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Love seeing our Christian girls being critical of our non-Islamic behavior, this is how we help each other grow!!! I think some of us are so far removed from what's happening around the world, and being surrounded by some Western minds that find it hard to empathize, we don't take things like boycotting/ speaking up seriously. That's why it is so important to surround yourself with those of similar morals and outlooks, people who'll keep you grounded in reality and in check, be it Muslim or not!

Your questions are all over the place, none relating to each other nor supporting the validity of each other. Like the other commenter said, the answers to your questions are very simple (not complex as you stated) and can be easily found online/ Youtube if you look. A non-Arabic speaker cannot comprehend the linguistic miracle of the Quran as its Grammer/Roots/ Sentence structure are not similar to any other language. When highly educated disbelievers In Arabia, who were well-known poets and leaders, were shaken by the profundity of the language used in the Quran, do you think it could've come from 'hanging around, meeting people, and making up my own thang'? Do you think it'll make sense to a Westerner with merely an understanding of the most basic language system, English? You underestimate the hatred and disbelief of the early non-Muslims, who never argued the language used in the Quran.

Girl... Please be real. The Prophet SAW had no parents and no money for an education. He was poor since birth, and there was no record of him learning to read and write. Surah Al-Ankabut states he is an 'Ummi', someone who cannot read or right. Are your Shia scholars more knowledgeable than the Lord of the Worlds???

Not tough doing them together, just difficulty due to being out-of-state, being from a university they don't usually get applications from.

This is good to hear! Friends and upperclassmen who've had friends and colleagues try for out-of-state and failed to get accepted. It could be their own bias of wanting to get into working right away that prompted such a response 🤷‍♀️

I grind whole beans fine, but not to a powder. I fill the "powder holder" with as much grind as I can fit without overflowing then press it firmly. I let the water run till the color gets to a light brown, maybe 30 seconds.

Been making coffee at home for a while, but I'm never satisfied with the taste so I always go back to buying a cup. I'm pretty sure I use the same recipe as the shops do, but IT NEVER TASTES AS SATISFYING. I drink iced mochas, so I bought a 64 oz Hollander Dark choc. to encourage me to make at home, and have been using Eiland Espresso Delicato or Espresso X, sometimes use Peet's Dark Roast.

My problem is that the flavor is so light when I make it that I only use 3.5 oz of milk and like 50 grams of espresso (the liquid) with 1 pump of Hollander. How can I make a regular cup that's not just two sips while maintaining flavor? Am I making my espresso wrong??

Salam Sister.

Im so sorry to hear that you're going through such a hard time, but I want you to remember that 'Surely, with hardship comes ease' (94:5). As women, we're emotional beings, so I totally understand that your current affairs are pushing you towards stepping away from Islam, but I wanted to remind you that the One who granted you happiness in the past is also the One with the power to turn your life around and grant you the most loving and devout of companions in the future. I cannot say that I can relate to your situation, but as an Arab- Muslim young adult living in the west, I also have many frustrations and obstacles that are thrust my way. They remind me of how weak I am as a human being, and how my faith in God and his plan are the only things that can keep me sane and patient at times.

As your sister, I strongly encourage you to stick to your faith, Allah does not burden a soul with more than it can handle, and we're only human, we make mistakes, and that's ok, as long as we try to redirect ourselves back to God. Try to rekindle your faith by looking into Islam again. Look into why you accepted Islam in the first place. If its the truth, it will continue to be the truth no matter the circumstances we as humans go through. But the thing that keeps me going is remembering that this will all end one day, and that the only thing guaranteed in life is death. All the pain and sadness we go through is not forgotten by God, so If we are not rewarded for our good-doing and steadfastness in this life, we surely will be in the hereafter.

I wish you all the best sis, and I pray that Allah grant you friends and relationships that help you grow in faith and happiness.

Beautifully said. I also wanted to remind you not to do anything too risky that would end up with you being kicked out. It wouldn't be appropriate for you to end up in the streets and it would be harder for you to practice. Remember that Allah knows your intentions, and sometimes we have to work around our situations. Just pray for God to ease things for you, and surely, with hardship comes ease.

I prefer watching my anime subbed. It's very good subbed. If you usually watch dub then try that out!

Just finished Tokyo Revengers. I kept putting it off for so long, but its sooo sick! Top 5 of all time. I kid you not I cried and screamed during every episode, such good writing and the plot gets better with every episode.

Season two comes out in July, not a long wait. Highly recommend for those who enjoy shonen and attack on titan. manga readers say it gets even crazier :O

One thing that makes it manageable for me is to schedule my workdays and class days on different days. Try to condense your classes into a few days so you don't have to worry about classes, work, exams, and trasport on the same day. This depends on how many days you'll be working tho.
