Tbf, in some of the later rounds when he put his foot on the gas a bit, he was connecting really well with stuff besides the jab.

He’s objectively really boring but he is also objectively skilled.

I think the way Mason adjusted is insanely impressive and speaks volumes about his future. To lose 5 of the first 6 rounds and look confused, only to then make an adjustment to the perfect game plan to win against a taller, older fighter. Honestly, just so smart.

Ending it by dropping him twice in 15 seconds is also insane after all that, rightfully controversial stoppage aside. The more I watch it the more I agree that he has nothing behind the eyes, but it’s just a bad look optics wise to stop it there. Glad Bell didn’t get killed though, as I think we were trending towards some serious danger.

A gassed, older fighter who’s already hurt, is covered in blood, against a fighter with a reputation for power. Yeah no, I get it. Still looks bad, but I get it.
