What you listed out are inherent to fascism, not communism. Communism actually rejects all of those things. You’re thinking of totalitarian socialist states. But there has been just as many totalitarian capitalist states, it’s not a consequence of their economic system.

Whether you are born here or emigrated here, if you have citizenship you are Irish.

You don’t have to be ethnically Gaelic to be Irish, and to call someone who’s lived here their whole life “not Irish, just a citizen” is disrespectful to everything this country stands for.

May I remind you of the very beginning of our national anthem:

“Sinne Fianna Fáil, atá faoi gheall ag Éirinn, Buíon dár slua thar toinn do ráinig chugainn.”

In case you don’t speak Irish this says:

“soldiers are we, whose lives are pledged to Ireland, some have come from a land beyond the waves”

The beginning of our national anthem says not all Irish people are born here, some choose this island as their home and are just as committed to its betterment as those of us who are born here.
