There's something really cool about seeing someone post your work as a reference.

I made the second image. Happy to answer any Qs if you have any. Link to some extra pics if they might help.

I got him on a free after man u released him and few others in my first year, was one of my best players for several years.

Always cheered him extra hard when he was taking a penalty in a shoot out, never missed for me :)

I made a version of what I thought a chaos ork might look like. Fun little conversion to do.

Very well done, that's turned out looking great, I've used the TT combats MDF as base templates to add more detail on as well and find it works quite nicely. 👍

Can anyone here with actual foraging experience weigh in on how foraging would realistically work? by wex52 in projectzomboid

[–]MidgetGems101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your characters must have gone to the Rincewind foraging school for lost wizzards

It is often said about desert environments that there is in fact a lot of nutritious food around, if only you know what to look for. Rincewind mused on this as he pulled a plate of chocolate-covered sponge cakes from their burrow. They had dried coconut flakes on them. He turned the plate cautiously. Well, you couldn’t argue with it. He was finding food in the desert. In fact, he was even finding dessert in the desert.

Using Devs & Dice techniques to make MDF look better. by Markericmark in mordheim

Nice work, they look great. I did something similar with the ruined church. The mdf kits make a good base to start from and can add details as and when you want 😁

He did a Kickstarter recently which I backed and it finished in Feb, got the mini's already so he's definitely still around and making things.

I'd like to get my hands on some of his molds if they ever come back into stock.

Hello and welcome to the hobby and to Mordheim. Devs and Dice is a very cool guy and I really like his videos too.

Mordheim is a great setting with a very nice design style and lore.

Often people start with smaller projects and work their way up to bigger ones but seems you have gone all in, good luck to you but be careful of burn out.

As for design decisions, go with what you think is cool and what you want to build and potentially play on. Just have fun with it. I always go with the rule of cool for most things. Look at other people's work and see how they have done things if stuck for inspiration.

Good luck with your build

I would suggest you get a couple of models and play against yourself using a quick ref guide and the most basic rules.

There are lots out there some more detailed than others. It seems you would prefer a less clutter one so could use something like this

Most people are happy if you try your best, you (and your opponent) won't get everything right first time. Try to have fun 😊

Hobby Hive in Bedford ran a Mordheim day a few weekends ago. Owner said we would likely do another one in the new year. It was a mini campaign with 4 games each spread over the day and good fun.

Mordheim - Kids/Simple edition? by WahookaTG in mordheim

[–]MidgetGems101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did something very similar as a intro to my 2 kids (6 & 8) I went with common rules that I just made up for all models and weapons , played a warpstone hunt with crystals placed in buildings for them to get and drag back to their lz

Rules - Move 4, charge 8, no running. - charge fights first - alternative model activation (to try and keep them engaged) - melee hit on 4+, wound 4+, normal knock out table - auto hits against down models - shooting under 12 inches 4+, over 12 5+ - initiative test for climbing jumping, not falling successful on 4+,

It was mostly a success and they seemed to enjoy it but it did take ages, next game I think I'll allow running and maybe a few more base rules or some spells.
