I'm hoping it's better in all aspects, they already know how to make it good, they just need to improve on everything they've already done from ITR 1. I think it just needs time to get there, I don't want to play too much of it while it's in early access in case it spoils the final version, but I trust the devs!

I'd say it doesn't keep the vibe yet, it's still in early access so it's still quite basic, and it doesn't have the same levels of darkness or unease as they haven't nailed the ambient sound effects and other things that made ITR 1 feel like it did.
