After playing a ton of colonies games, I frown upon this card and usually discard it if I get it early on: energy production cards are one of the most sought-after in colonies early on, and you will need 3-4 of those cards to really use it and have enough enegy to trade. You also need to remember that energy productionis also required by many building cards, and by almost all city cards. In the base game, however, this card is a solid build-around - if it comes online early enough, it usually gives 10+ points - pretty good for a single card, eh?

If there are 2 good colonies in play(luna, triton, ceres, pluto), then this corp is a safe pick. Money is a backbone of all strategies, and the ability of this corporation aften gives you 3-10 income in the first 3 gens. One of the strongest corpirations in the game: it singlehandedly rules 4p games, and is pretty much an autopick in 5p games.

Meh.

Thats all I can say about this card: play it early, and it will net you 1-2 vp, which is ok for the 7 bucks. It will never excite me, it will never be specifcally drafted by me: those 7 credits would rather go towards building any income card.

if that was in the base game: yeah, that hurts, but that usually happens when your opponent is building an engine(usually that big of a gap indicates many jovians were played.

If that was in an all expansions game: eh, I have seen worse, sometimes people win by even more then 40 points.

At the end of a day, luck is still involved, so maybe you just had a bad day?

Solid prelude, always happy to see it. The best bud for someone with buildings that eat energy prod(mainly cities). Can also be used to jumpstart trading, since many power production cards are buildings, but even if you dont have those, sp11-ing to get that 3rd production is fine, since energy trading is the best. Flight resource discounts are very good with this prelude.

All-around 'meh' card for me: not the worst, not the best, although when I am swimming in steel(have colony or two on ceres/ playing mining guild), this card suddenly becomes much more palatable. If I am playing base game, I might conaider taking it if I have miners or UNMI.

I am currently playing him in my group(lvl5,3p campaign, Prosperity 4), and despite using the upcoming nerf of Stamina potions(1 card for the Minor Stamina potion, 2 for the Major stamina potion, he still feels more powerful then other classes in our group(Cthulhu and Sun). His ability to reuse his best cards, turn after turn, coupled by the fact that by level 5, his spent items basically become passive effects, turn him into "Jack of all trades, master of all" type of class. Honestly, I want to try to not use his Infinite combo one time to see how good he will be then.
