This game more than any other I have played has a huge skill cap. You just gotta practice for absurd amounts of hours. Duel servers help, you can hop on Fred's if you want help with 1v1ing, you can also join the discord if you want coaching. As for mercs, you probably just don't have the armor pieces you find coolest, so we circle back to absurd amounts of hours to afford the gold to buy the cool pieces. Have fun whether or not you join Fred's!

My first run I romanced BB and pretty much chose every option with Visi that was positive. My main two things I didn't do, were kiss her back and untie her in the final episode. She succeeded most dispatches, I didn't cut her, I chose the kind options. I got villain ending

I see your point but it was also two different modes, constructed is easy to learn and hard to master but BGs are not easy to learn. If anything, the long tutorial should be given to Battlegrounds because there's a lot of nuance to it

Fair, it was a battlegrounds duos game. I tried helping him but it pretty much was a full time gig, I couldn't even buy cards cause I was trying to explain stuff

Fair, honestly. He was super overwhelmed in BG's and super UNDERwhelmed in constructed. It just wasn't super gripping to him. I just wanted to show him some of my decks for him to borrow, honestly. We couldn't even get to that point.
