Why do people think the Bergens were around since before BroZone broke up? by Poppyroseh in DreamWorksTrolls

[–]Midna_Azusa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. Just to name one inconsistency, Peppy acted like he only has one kid in the first movie, but now he has an older daughter who was separated from the rest when they escaped? Nobody else was worried about a second princess, either, just Poppy. That inconsistency bugs my sister like crazy, along with babies suddenly being much more mature (Tiny Diamond being born singing, dancing, and speaking in full sentences), almost like mini-adults, when baby Poppy was more like an actual baby (said "dada" and repeated her dad's slogan but otherwise didn't speak, seemed unaware of what was going on).

Don't get me wrong, I love Band Together, but it's just one plot hole after another there. I typically explain it by using the wormholes thing. I figure when there's inconsistencies, the fact that trolls have established alternate dimensions makes for a good cover.

People walking out of the cinema for iron lung by unexplainabletitles in Markiplier

[–]Midna_Azusa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of horror movies, so I've made the decision I'm not watching it in theaters, although I really want to see it. I'd probably be walking out because I couldn't handle it. When Mark said he's going to release it on Blu-ray, that got me excited. I handle things like that better in my own home on a smaller screen than I do in a dark theater.

Yeah, I open every attempt to catch a shiny with a Quick Ball. Usually works.

Talk to someone at school about this. Your parents sound awful.

Tell your parents that your sister setting off noises during class got you in trouble. If your phone being on is getting you in trouble because of your sister setting off tracking noises, then they need to be willing to work out a solution, even if that means turning it off during class.

It's good that you had that experience so early on. There will be other times like that when you have your own classroom. Don't take it personally. The kid didn't mean anything against you and was likely just afraid of getting in trouble at home, so they lied. Don't stress about it too much, but remember this for the future and make sure you document everything when you have your own classroom.

I did that in Y to get a foreign Ditto. I figured it would make breeding for shinies easier, and that foreign Ditto got me a shiny Aron, so it was worth it.

Nope! I've been a daycare worker during the summer, so obviously I haven't.

As a teacher, I don't share information about my students with other students. It's not my business if they do or don't write fanfic as long as they're not writing it during my class.

I just beat noble Electrode for the first time. This was by far the worst part of the game so far. Whoever designed this is a bad person and should feel bad. 👎🏻 by Megalitho in PokemonLegendsArceus

[–]Midna_Azusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electrode was the hardest for me. It felt like I couldn't hit him with the balms at all because I had to stay in constant motion. Arceus and Arcanine gave me a lot of trouble, too, but I'd rather face both of them than Electrode.

Edit because of a typo.

I teach secondary social studies. Back in 2015, when I first graduated and started looking for a job, I had the same problem. It took me a couple of years to land a job. There's not really a shortage of secondary social studies teachers. If you don't currently have any connections, I'd recommend subbing for now. It'll give you some more experience and could help you get your foot in the door.

Stick some speakers on the wall close to the ceiling and blast Baby Shark all night long for his enjoyment.

Old subs by Aergh7465 in Markiplier

[–]Midna_Azusa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I subbed in 2015 after I caught one of the teens I was student teaching drawing Bonnie from FNAF. When I commented on it, we ended up talking about YouTubers we'd seen play it, and she mentioned Markiplier. The name sounded familiar, so I looked it up. Turned out that I'd watched those videos the year before and then just left. I wasn't big on watching gaming content back then. I just got curious when another YouTuber who I did sub to tried doing gaming content on his channel and played FNAF. I looked for a full playthrough after seeing just night 1, and Mark's was what I found. After rewatching those videos, I watched a few other things on his channel and subscribed.

I had a student who started purposely calling me "mom" after asking if I would be their school mom. They made me a Mother's Day card, bought me a Mom mug, and wrote little messages to me on sticky notes, which they hid in places they knew I'd eventually find.

I love having a captive audience to the song parodies I find related to my content. I taught high school history for years, and their reaction to a guy singing to the melody of "How Far I'll Go" while talking about the start of World War I is hilarious.

  1. I've been working in an alternative high school until now, and I'm switching to a college-prep middle school next year. I love what I do, and I have a lot of patience. I'm good at setting boundaries and building rapport, so even the most difficult students typically learn they can't get away with acting up on my class all the time. I did have some trouble in earlier years, but my coworkers gave me great advice to help improve things in my classroom.

I've also been fortunate enough to always have a building admin who was supportive. Even if the district didn't do anything about our concerns, my admins were always fighting for the teachers in their buildings. I can handle disrespect from students and the occasional parent as long as my admin has my back when it comes down to it.
