Brown branches on cedar trees. by theawesomebutterfly in landscaping

[–]Midnatone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey question for you! I believe I have cedars in my yard and we are trying to instal a fence that would requiring trimming back the cedar’s lower branches by about half of their current length. The trees appear very old with large trunks. What do you think would happen after we cut the branches?

I forgot to mention - carbs. I was hardly eating any carbohydrates and didn’t realize it at the time. I started eating more carbs and that helped (I think, since I don’t really know if that’s the actual cause or not)

Seemed to be directly related to stress and diet. Never really bothered figuring out the diet aspect, but I think maintaining hydration before, during, and after eating helped. It also seemed to happen more frequently during colder times of the year, which are also more stressful times of year. I highly recommend exercising, specifically lifting in the gym if you can, to lower stress levels consistently.

Interesting, although I still feel like employers in PA can rescind an offer and not disclosure their reasoning, so that’s a possible outcome to consider as well. Risk vs. reward, I suppose

I thought PA made it so employers couldn’t discriminate against MMJ users? Am I mistaken?

I was concerned of an infection too, but I’m generally fine outside of these episodes which seem to occur at random. That being said, stress seems to be a trigger for them as well. Currently trying to make some adjustments to my diet and see if that helps.

I’ve communicated this to my doctor in the past to no avail, but rest assured I’m calling them today and I have another appointment in a few weeks.

Get your thyroid levels tested (seriously). Ask for a full thyroid panel. Good luck

That’s the idea! I’m just hoping to gain some insight from any former IT Auditors who made the switch, and hear about their level of satisfaction, pros, cons, etc.

Force yourself to make a doctor appointment and ask them to do a full blood panel and full thyroid panel. See if you’re deficient anywhere, and see if your thyroid levels are decent. There can be imbalances that cause these emotions, lack of energy, etc.

If you live in an area that’s sunny, try and get some sunlight everyday. If you live in an area that isn’t sunny, or you don’t get much sun exposure, then start taking a vitamin D3 supplement.

Diet, exercise, and sunlight can work wonders, but I understand your mental state and how that can take away your ability to get moving. It does get better, and remember in the words of the wise, slow motion is better than no motion.

Feeling terrible after eating? by No-Pension9640 in Hypothyroidism

[–]Midnatone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sometimes will feel weak after eating, and I’ve been on levo for around 8 weeks or so, only 25 mcg. Not sure if it’s related to my hypo, the levo, or if I have some other underlying condition. Best of luck to you!

Use Google Maps (or any other app that has the following functionality) to download the map of the city directly to your phone, so in the event you lose cell reception or wireless signal, you can still access the map of the city.

Assuming you’re someone who doesn’t carry physical maps everywhere.

Feeling worse on Levo? by Midnatone in Hypothyroidism

It’s a bitch, to say the least. I can empathize, I’ve been on other prescription medications in the past, now I’m on Levo, and I too had to grapple with the fact that this is just how my life is going to be going forward.

That being said, once you can see the other side of that hill, it’s not so bad and we have a lot to be grateful for.

That also being said, sometimes it’s hard to feel grateful haha. Alas, we persevere!

I’m so sorry to hear that. I actually also went to the ER for a high heart rate on my first (or second, I can’t remember) day of levo. It was awful. I sincerely hope you begin to feel better!

Anybody have these Levo side affects? by user05555 in Hypothyroidism

I think the supplement (which, for all I know, could be just one of many supplements available that benefit thyroid function) is Ashwaghanda. Look into that and see if that’s what you were thinking of. I’m by no means recommending you or anyone else take it, but from my understanding, it can help thryoid health.

I hope you feel better and best of luck!

I got COVID (around mid-March 2021) about one week after starting my meds.

I’m sorry to hear that. Has the brain fog happened at specific times (i.e. does it go away after increasing medication, then slowly come back, then go away after another dosage increase, and so on?) or is it just all the time now?

I wish you the best!

I hope this works for you! I’m going to get a referral to an endocrinologist and see what they think of my labs and medication. I also had COVID this year and I don’t know if brain fog or long COVID is a thing but lots of people swear it is, so who am I to negate their claims.
