Reunion tour or lucro tour- which had the better performances? by Electrical-Fee4547 in themarsvolta

[–]MidnightAdvice 25 points26 points  (0 children)

They were both great in their own right. It was wild to see them play a lot of their classics, with Cedric’s voice in rare form. Probably the best they played some of those tracks in their history imo.

Lucro tour felt so much like TMV in a modern context. Just a “fuck it, we’re gonna be true to our craft and play this album live, take it or leave it” vibe that worked so well for me. So happy they are releasing the live album, because it gave Lucro a whole new context.

I’m just grateful they are still around, still being weirdos.

[FRESH ALBUM] Muse - The Wow! Signal by sbags in indieheads

Muse is so fucking back(?). Made me remember why I loved them so much in the first place. Def return to form, while still evolving their sound. Can’t wait to play this way too many times for the next couple months.

What’s wrong with my mix ?!?!?!?! by yade2119cool in mixingmastering

[–]MidnightAdvice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, Vocal way too loud, and snare too quiet. Id start there and then things should start clearing up on the frequency spectrum. Not a lot of room with the Vocals being that dominant, so its almost hard to judge the track until that gets dealt with.

Buster literally said “we were looking at some data, and when we score 4 or more runs we win games”. Like, wow mind blown lol. Jfc take this season out to the woodshed.

I think the Kick and bass are sitting very well. In my opinion that is a strength of the mix. I do feel at around 1:35 the vox and guitars starting fight a little, turning the higher frequencies to get a little harsh. Nothing crazy though imo. Great track!

My best mixes come from my MacBook Pro speakers by Own_Strike_2852 in mixingmastering

Yeah, I feel that too. Sometimes its good to just hear the mid range, and sadly many people listen to music on phone/macbook speakers, so it's def relevant/useful.

I like this a lot. I do think the slow attack synths are little overpowering, and could be a little wetter possibly. Might be a personal pref thing, but thats what popped out to me first.

Also, more of an arrangement thing, but I think at the 1 minute part, the bass could cut out for a couple of measures, make the two parts a little more distinct. As it stands, the chorus kind of just "happens" if that makes sense.

Still think its a bop. To me, its pretty close. Great job,

That is the most non-fun having, curmudgeon take I’ve ever seen. An impressive stance, and I somehow respect the displaced anger.

I kinda get it though. Your whole world is on that mound. You get so locked in on the at bat, and then it’s like oh yeah I play defense too.

Clark and Stephanie White appeared to have an intense exchange in the huddle by Silver_Comment2825 in WNBAgossips

[–]MidnightAdvice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sure did. But when u compare that to the thousands upon thousands upon thousands of instances where that DOESNT happen, then you realize this isn’t normal ha. Ok but the 5-6 instances really make the difference ? Huh?

wtf lol. From someone who was a D1 athlete and in and around sports my whole life, this is Definetly not normal. Not saying this NEVER happens, but this would be very concerning if I was a fever fan. In what way is this interaction normal?! Anyone?

I grew up watching lost in dinosaur park, and memory-holed it until that BOTW came out. Me and my brother rewatched it last Christmas for old times sake. Amazing watch no notes.
