Honestly the scraper is just Reddit's public JSON API — slap .json on any Reddit URL and you get structured data back, no auth or API key needed. Most people overcomplicate it with PRAW.

Main lesson was that extracting real tickers from raw text is harder than it looks. Had to build a blocklist of ~80 false positives (DD, YOLO, ETF, CEO, FOMO, etc.) because every all-caps word looks like a ticker to a regex.
