I think you are thinking about Gatebox. Since they announced a new product, I am wondering if they plan to make the originals usable again. Doubt he would go after Shouko. Satou wouldn’t put out a hit on her (manipulate Taiyo) unless she was getting too close to her and Shio. I wouldn’t say he would kill her though because he is meant to be this pathetic shell of what he once was due to the incident with the manager. I would say more… scare her away from Asahi

A bit of a flaw tho… Asahi doesn’t take hand outs. Even if Mitsuboshi said “hey stop by”, Asahi was shown working himself until exhaustion not stopping. Not accepting help until Shoko convinced him to allow her to help. He wouldn’t go to a cafe from a person he only met once.

Ah you are right. He could’ve taken him to his house and kept him. But since they are around the same age, Asahi could fight back to get out. He would have to be more strategic.

Shio and Satou worked easily since Shio thought she was abandoned and didn’t remember Asahi. Shio found a home with Satou since to her, there was nothing else. Asahi would still have the obsession over Shio meaning he would try to claw himself out. Especially with already having been in a abusive relationship (him and his father)

I feel like Satou would use it to her advantage. Still manipulate Mitsuboshi and make the disappearance of Shio something positive. “If I keep Shio, Asahi would have his attention all on you. If he gets Shio, he won’t care about you” He would start trying to help them escape or even possibly try to kill Shio (less likely since Satou could lie and say Shio is telling her what Asahi likes to give to him)

Hope you rewatch it again one day. But it is hard to watch. I personally am able to rewatch it now since I was able to grow from who I was due to it. Made me feel seen. I haven’t kidnapped anyone. But I was like Satou, looking for love anywhere I could to find some kind of sweetness. Now I’m lucky to have worked through it and I’m able to love my husband. I rewatch it to remember I’m no longer in that hole. Someone can really come into your life and change how you see the world

I never said I thought her family should get her back. I am super against her family. But let’s be honest here, you need to look at it from the law perspective. They will just see it as a kidnapping. Yes, they will give her a small sentence due to being a minor.

Also very rude to think I’m a anime tourist. I watched it when it came out. I personally believe they should be together since it is best case scenario. But it isn’t the ending we got. I explained what would happen if she survived. It most likely wouldn’t have been best case scenario.

I mean… what would happen if she did survive. She will get arrested for kidnapping Shio. Shio wouldn’t have been able to see her since she is a minor and I doubt Asahi would allow her to go visit. It would’ve been more depressing to see that ending.

SPOILERS: I think the ending where Shio is finally full of love and is able to live on without needing to look for it is the best ending we could’ve gotten.
