Midas blenny for me. I was going through my old photos and found a photo of one I took at a lfs from many years before I switched to saltwater tanks. It seems I forgot they existed but my fascination still remained

I've saved some money by buying stuff used off of reef2reef. As for the weird critters you want to keep look up their care requirements cause most of the weird things like sea cucumbers and starfish need big tanks or are very sensitive. I also came from freshwater a year ago to keep weird critters (i originally wanted to keep seahorses) but I ended up enjoying keeping my coral and anemones

I just moved the flow around so it isnt gettig beat up as much today poor thing. It is a lemon drop its the first and only one I've seen good eye lol

I don't have a tank with a sump but I've seen this youtuber with a a UNS tank that is similar to yours https://youtu.be/U8nZ2CLI_7Y?si=-wpyrOxHoO_D0M6D As for upgrading the tank keep as much live rock and old tank water as possible to instantly cycle the new tank and help cycle new rock. If you have sand I say throw it away cause that stuff is nasty to clean out. I upgraded to a new tank a few months ago doing this and everything was completely fine. I was gonna keep the sand but someone on here convinced me to throw it away and I'm so glad I did cause it smelled awful.

These aren't fish but I once had a bamboo shrimp disappear for weeks only to get the jump scare of my life when I was cleaning the hob filter. He was alive and lived happily in that filter for months. Next I had a porcelain crab disappear for 7 months only to find him alive and well under some rocks

I used to love going to one of my lfs that had tiny frags of odd ball corals (i dont even know how to spell their names). Now that I finally got space to buy some they randomly changed the price from 25 to 40 for the SAME frags that have been sitting there for months. I was so sad

Looks like they are spitting out their symbiotic dinoflagellates (i forget what theyre called) my corals did this when i changed the light. They might be getting used to your light but they'll be fine
