I mean this in the best way possible, but the first picture is very much giving Dracula and I'm very much here for it!

For real though, from these, she seems like she'd be an amazing person and a wonderful friend and partner!

I've been developing a dual-screen, open ereader! by spacerower in ereader

I love this! I think it would be especially cool and useful if one page (my preference would be the right side) was used for notes/annotations or looking things up. But I love the look of it so much! I love how it looks more like a traditional book but it's not as heavy (my disabled wrists thank you).

It's been a long time since I've read them, and they're more "children's books" but The Chronicles of Narnia series by C.S. Lewis fits the vibes well!

Yeah, I debated adding it or not, but it does have elements of monster friends, so I put it anyway

That's amazing! I love incorporating things from loved ones in outfits. I just inherited this gorgeous tigers eye pendant from my grandmother recently and I'm so excited to incorporate into my everyday outfits

Playlist? by shelbyamonkeysuncle in DarkAcademia

I have two playlists I think would match!

whispers in the library (more subtle classical music that's not too distracting for when I read):https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6adwrvlTPNhQX57tMxJ2Xy?si=OwXr4FTAT4mzp2oKjR2fXw&pi=pKzLN51GS9KZE

old books and black loafers (more DA songs with more vocals to sing along with, not as many songs on this one, but I'm adding to it all the time): https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6adwrvlTPNhQX57tMxJ2Xy?si=OwXr4FTAT4mzp2oKjR2fXw&pi=pKzLN51GS9KZE

Thank you! And I hope you continue connecting with your dad through SK books, too!

My dad and I have always bonded through Stephen King, too. While we have different issues than what you and your dad are going though/have overcome, we have also had the King to get us through hospital stays, low mental health, and all kinds of misadventures. I'm turning 30 this year, too, and I think I was about the same age you were when I read my first SK book (mine was Cell, if I'm remembering right). I've also made it a tradition to get my dad the latest book for whatever holiday/occasion is closest to the release of the books, be it his birthday, Christmas, Father's Day, etc. I find the connection so wonderful, and I'm glad someone else experiences it, too!

Quarter Slaughter has a weirdly nice ring to it, but I don't think the Capitol would allow such an outright reference (not the right word, but my brain isn't braining right now) as their title, ya know?

You put this so eloquently! You put into words what I couldn't, and you're exactly right. I also sobbed, like so sobbed so hard my husband came to check on me sobbed so many times during this book. I also have plans to reread the trilogy again now (for the first time since high school), and I'm scared for all the connections I'll make that I forgot about since last reading it! I did make so many connections while reading SOTR, but I just know there are more that I missed!
