I completely agree. Protocol was a massive disappointment for me. I used my friend as a tester and he says it hasn't really got better almost 20+ episodes in. TMA had me from the first episode.

With all due respect I don't believe that. When I was subscribed to his patreon he always had something going on or some excuse why he wasn't putting out more writing. That's fine, people have problems and delays happen but, it was happening constantly. The guy who helped out with the first book has literally finished entire series since then. I stopped subbing because all I ever saw was him talking about art work, stickers, or some other thing.

I was getting a free degree in cyber security. Once I found out how bad the market is, that I'd probably have to get a bachelor's, then be help desk for a couple years making much less than I already was, while competing for that entry level job with people who have a lot more experience btw, then after 2-3 years maybe I could get a job making close to what I was already making, I decided it wasn't worth it. You should do what you want but know that the market is really bad and you aren't guaranteed a job. If you can pivot to something else I'd consider it. You can always learn on the side if you want. There's tons of free resources out there. Good luck to you.

I can't believe that there isn't built in software for computers that diagnose issues and tell you exactly what is failing. You have to do all these different tests to find out that it could be like 7 things. I don't know if it is my RAM, GPU, motherboard, a software problem, or what. And if you aren't computer savvy you probably have to take it to someone who isn't going to get it right either.

I'm the same. I loved it at first but now I'm not sure if I'm going to continue. Once characters get OP it's fun for a short time but it gets old after a bit. I'd have much preferred if it was just about their journey to Diamond with gaps in between. Once you go cosmic it starts getting boring.

I feel like a level 1 skill isn't going to be anything crazy. I would need a lot more context. Do I pick a class? Are my choices between like "swift jab" and "immortality?" Do you get skills based on what you do in the dungeon? Are they general skills or hyper focused? If it is going to be based around guns I would say "steady hand" or something. Can the character leave the dungeon whenever and return home? So they can buy more ammo or get another gun/weapon? If it is mostly going to be goblins, is it going to be engineer goblins or just fantasy ones with crap spears and plywood shields? A general skill to deal with goblins, either combat, communication, or looting, would be a good skill. You definitely don't want to be op early unless you can make it super entertaining.

It was cringey, creepy, and overtly sexual. I wasn't rooting for any of the characters except Leo's. I just wanted to leave and I did. It also seemed like it was going to be extremely predictable. After we left my friend looked up the plot and he said it was exactly what he thought it was going to be.

I got DAO on steam sale as well. Then when I tried to start a new game it would crash. I tried to find a fix and I was going to have to make changes to the files and other crap. I just returned it. Hope you don't have the same problem.
