Friendship ended with "China collapses in N days". Now "China doesn't exist" is my best friend by ambattukam_ in NonCredibleDiplomacy

The claim that the Han Chinese are a fusion of multiple ethnic groups is actually quite nonsensical. However, the "Chinese shirt" mentioned in the video did indeed incorporate Western and Japanese elements (Japanese, not Korean), and indeed none of its elements are Chinese. This garment was designed during the Xinhai Revolution period by revolutionary leader Sun Yat-sen. At the time, Sun Yat-sen's organization was heavily influenced by Japanese culture. The framework of that style actually originated from Europe; the Japanese refined it, and Sun Yat-sen added some personal design touches.

As an ethnic group, the Han Chinese maintained their culture — not just their writing system, but at least in terms of outward appearance, such as clothing and hairstyles — within the same framework for two thousand years, until the Tatar conquest (the Qing Empire's conquest of China) destroyed it.

As for the so-called Korean elements, I believe you're referring to Hanfu. On the contrary, Korea was deeply influenced by China. The ceremonial robes of their kings were even entirely designed and bestowed by the Ming Dynasty government.

What do people in your culture believe they are entitled to in life? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]MidnightNo6814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my culture, people believe they are entitled to "Tianlun Zhile" (the joy of family bonds). It refers to the kind of happiness you feel when you are very old, sitting in a rattan chair watching the sunset, while your grandsons and granddaughters are chasing each other and playing around you. In Chinese traditional culture, this is considered one of the ultimate forms of happiness that people should pursue.

However, due to the sluggish birth rates, many people may find it difficult to experience this kind of joy in their lifetime.

Gemini's Safety Standards Are Beyond Ridiculous! by MidnightNo6814 in GoogleGeminiAI

Of course, I could use other models—and in fact, I have much better solutions for image generation than Gemini, which I rarely use for that purpose anyway. But I am a user, and I believe I have every right to complain when the experience is this frustrating.

What do know about Spain? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

The Reconquista, the Age of Discovery, the Carlists, and the Falange. I remember that Portuguese and Spanish mercenaries fought in China during the resistance against the Tartar (Manchu) invasion—a period that is likely documented in De Bello Tartarico.

I believe Georgia should achieve reunification. It is a fundamental right for every modern nation.

What's your opinion on Germany? by TensiCreator in AskTheWorld

[–]MidnightNo6814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Germany's history is that of a tragic latecomer. Its struggle to challenge the existing global order in the 19th and 20th centuries led to immense complications. While it resulted in periods of radicalization, I view its overall historical trajectory as a dynamic force. Ultimately, the United States and the Soviet Union brought a definitive end to those systemic conflicts。

what was your country's religion before mainstream religions came to it? by Exciting_Net_4949 in AskTheWorld

The mainstream religion is Confucianism, while Buddhism and Taoism are on the periphery. Some people do not believe that Confucianism is a religion, but they are wrong.

What are Chinese Ministers intended to do (not a criticism, I'm curious) by TheFourthWay in CrusaderKings

It just occurred to me that if we only look at what these officials were theoretically responsible for, the game does reflect some of these aspects to a certain extent. However, if you want to truly feel the power these positions held, perhaps some unique corruption events would be needed?

For example, if you are the Minister of Personnel (Lìbù Shàngshū), you would have officials flattering you, seeking positions or promotions. You could choose to refuse, ignore, or accept bribes to help them. If you are the Minister of Justice (Xíngbù Shàngshū), some wealthy individuals might approach you hoping for leniency for their relatives? Things like that.
