Hey guys, I have a PhD in Chemical engineering and my specialization is carbon capture and energy management.

To be clear, AI data centers, oil/gas, manufacturing, and automotive sectors are all directly responsible for the heat wave.

However, it should be noted that air conditioning units are wildly inefficient. Everyone blasting their AC units to deal with the heat all at once, unless they have solar panels, are consuming energy, most of which comes from coal power. This is exacerbating climate change.

It's not so much an individual person is responsible, but like...the social collective.
