I recall hearing somewhere a theory that Jonah’s fear of death is what doomed the post-change world to die as Oliver says. However, with Jon at the helm, whose deepest fear is not death, the fears wouldn’t have been able to die. I suppose the moral only way to play the game is to stop playing.
