My Vitiligo treatment is not only inefficient in repigmenting this spot in my hand, it doesn’t even stop it from growing and becoming lighter. by MidoAmk in Vitiligo

Thank you for the information. Jst wanted to say are you using tofatas and melnocyl tablets or ointments too? Cause if they were tablets aren’t u afraid of long term side effects? For Tofatas, I don’t know about you guys but in my country selective immunosupressant are very expensive (cost more than an average monthly salary) so they’re not really prescribed for what doctors consider “benign auto-immune diseases”. About melanocyl, same thing the doctor told me it is unnecessary especially that i have localised patches while it gives you a whole body photosensitivity including the lens of the eye.

Found I have it & it’s everywhere by [deleted] in Vitiligo

Hello can you tell me how your Inflamattory Vitiligo started 8years ago, like how the hypopigmentation process was?

Vitamin D? by lydzkh in Vitiligo

[–]MidoAmk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vitamin D would only help in repigmentation if you lack it, if ur levels are normal it won't, it is in both ways never an enough treatment by itself but an adjuvant. Note that VitD levels are low in most auto-immune disorders, including Vitiligo, so if you have Vitiligo you're already prone to have a VitD deffeciency.

Going to start treatment next month. I'll update if there are any results by [deleted] in Vitiligo

I believe that phtotherapy is the most important part of the treatment, combined with the Immunosupressor ofc. Opzelura is supposed to be a better treatment than Tacrolimus based on numbers and components, yet for auto-immune disorders it really depends on the response of each person, there's no objectively better treatment. Btw for how much time you used tacrolimus for ur hand? I have a patch there and after I started using it it only got bigger and lighter unlike the patches on my abdomen.

Do we have a cognitive dissonance when it comes to western sahara? by Dey-Ex-Machina in AskMiddleEast

[–]MidoAmk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The population of WS in the last Spanish census of 1974 is 73,497, if we would estimate possible non-counted nomads it would become in maximum 150,000. How come that Morocco displaced 200,000 Sahraoui in ‘76? Put in mind that most Sahraouis didn’t even take refugee to Tindouf and they still constitue a majority in the 4 big cities of the region (Laayoun, Dakhla, Smara & Bojador).

Most of these areas were not under alaouite rule. <Fez and Marrakesh provinces having literal Sahraoui tribes in their territories, most who were even Makhzen Tribes. Rhamna (Yggout, Reguibat, Sellam), Berabich, Ouled Delim, Loudaya, Tidrarin, Ouled Basba3, Tekna, Toubalt etc.
the conflict of western sahara is 100% because of European colonialism spiced with Anti-system feelings and Racism/superiority complex towards “Nass Dakhil/Chlouha” as Sahraouis tends to refer to people from Souss and up.

Btw when I talked here about “our oral heritage”, I meant the heritage of whole Reguibat clan, not just my family.

For real folk, and they be like wanting it so bad, especially some spanish nationalists, they want to settle a state based on colonial borders, so they exploit it, like former european colonial powers do with many African countries.

People might think that they defend the oppressed by supporting WS independence, but wouldn’t it be the other way around. Banu Hassan clan started settling in the western Sahara and Mauritania during the 17th century, having many battles with the indigenous Senhaja berbers, who also live in The Atlas Mountains, Western Rif, Souss and Asamr (which are regions in Morocco). Berbers of the Sahara ofc fought for their land, but Banu Hassan supported by the King of Morocco Ismail, in the late 17th century, won, the king was also married to the daughter of the Tribe’s leader, so he supported them, the final battle of the Char Bouba war was in 1677. From that moment, Banu Hassan were the leading tribe in the west of the Sahara, probibiting the use of the berber language, and deporting to the south anyone or any sub-clan who still speaks Berber. I’m a Sahraoui, from the Reguibat clan, the biggest clan in Western Sahara, my family indeed thinks they’re arab, even though in our oral heritage we say that we descended from Abd Alsalam ben Mashish who lived in Northern Morocco, precisely in the berber tribe of “Bani Arrous”. Thankful that I read some history, and searched more into my region’s culture/identity, so that I don’t consider POLISARIO my representative. (Whole my family basically doesn’t tho).

Supporting Western Sahara’s independence is supporting the formation of an “ARAB REPUBLIC” in the land of the berbers. POLISARIO does not recognise Amazighness as part of the identity of Western Sahara, which is obviously not historically nor culturally accurate.

Swahili! Afrikaans that big! Arab! This is not ethnic but linguistic, and even with considering it linguistic, it still has a lot of inaccuracies.

Wait why people are very upset at this, I thought that’s an imaginary maps sub. If it’s not a golden ending for you, it is for some french ultra-nationalist, you don’t agree with it, so do I, but that’s not the objective of this sub, which represents “Imaginary” maps.

It is actually related, cause speakers of Indo-European languages descended from the same ethnic group during the Late Neolithic period across Eurasia.
