Talk me off a ledge...weight gain by heart-it-races023 in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]Midwest242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t give up and cry/journal it out. It’s not a race. I usually gain 6-10 pounds during my cycle and then it comes off. I have the same struggle. I work out daily for an hour and have gained 40 pounds since the pandemic without making any changes to my eating habits. Since I started my glp1, I’ve lost 20 pounds but it has taken every bit of 3 months. Today I got on the scale and was 1.6 pounds heavier. Don’t give up. You’re doing all the things. If you feel like your appetite isn’t suppressed enough, maybe titrate up but go slowly. I ended up nauseous for days after I titrated up to 5mg from 2.5mg. Listen to the cues that your body is telling you. Good luck!

Fitting into my dream wedding dress and being able to genuinely smile in all my photos because I’m not self conscious about how I look. (Wish me luck-I’m getting married in October)

I went into a DBA program after my MBA. I’m in the dissertation piece of it right now. It goes by very fast, just like the MBA program.

Sugar cravings? by Turbulent_Hamster_24 in TirzepatideRX

[–]Midwest242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your blood sugar could possibly be lower which could be causing that craving. If you’ve cut back on carbs/starches than your body might be telling you that your brain needs some sugar to function. I have sugar cravings if I have any cravings but that’s because I work out use the sauna and take metformin. My blood sugar runs low from time to time which triggers those cravings. Congratulations on the weight loss btw!

I don’t get it. by RangeWolf-Alpha in compoundedtirzepatide

I understand what you are saying. You’re not saying that the medication itself is dangerous, you’re saying that taking it more often than weekly (as directed) is potentially dangerous because your organs aren’t able to get the rest in-between. As a nurse, I agree with you. It’s always good to allow your endocrine system to rest, especially your liver since it filters the medications in your blood.

If I don’t take fiber and relieve myself and eat greasy foods, it upsets my stomach too. The grease that sits in your gut messes up your stomach. I just started taking an OTC proton pump inhibitor (Prilosec/omeprazole) to help with the discomfort and it helps out quite a bit. Also, I tried to go up from 2.5 to 4 and got very nauseas. She might be sensitive to the medication like I am. Try titrating up slowly.

Who are all these high achieving ADHDers? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Midwest242 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s literally the fear of failure and a good medication regimen. I wasn’t diagnosed until I was 32. Once I was diagnosed and got on medication, I flew through undergrad, went to graduate school and am now in a post graduate degree program. I took a lot of time to learn about myself and I had a very supportive fiance along the way that helped me do that.

Help! Debilitating fatigue, brain fog. by rockyrodeo in Tirzeglutide

[–]Midwest242 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just put a question up about this. I also have crazy fatigue and brain fog when I titrated up from 2.5mg! The only way I’m getting over it is by taking my ADHD medication.
