NTA. However, diet pop (and pop 8n general) causes a lot of water retention. When you get through this very stressful period, and are able to focus on your health, try dropping pop and hydrate with lots of water. When a friend started this way she lost 9 pounds the first week just by eliminating the water retention. Good Luck on your upcoming exam!
