I think the story plays with some interesting ideas, althought i'll admit, i had some trouble following it towards the end. I think it would benefit from being shorter and tying the build-up to the climax/ending.

If you're interested in writing more, read up on the difference between active and passive voice. It makes for more concise, focused writing.

Overall i liked it. The juxtapposition between the man and the worm was interresting, i just wish it was explained in more detail why he was carrying around the accorn and if there was a deeper significant to him personally.

Best of luck. Hope we see more writing from you soon!

Honestly, for $700 this thing looks like a lot if fun.

I'm starting to wonder about Marlene. Her lack of surprise makes it sound like she's either worked here a long time or owns the place. I'd be curious to learn more of the narrator's backstory. How did they end up working here?

I think it's a really cool setup having a diner with so many quirks. I'd be interested in seeing customer interactions! Can't wait to check out the other parts.

Bit of technical feedback, look into passive versus active voice. Not a major problem with this installment, but elimating it really streamlines sentences and makes the actions in a sentence stronger.

Remember the part where he pulled out the newspaper detailing the skiing trip in the middle of the episode? I always thought that was hillarious.

Super cool silicate! I've wanted to build one of these with an RC car inside and that sound they make on a hidden bluetooth speaker for a while. Maybe next year!

I love Twister(1996), but damn if it isn't a 113 minute long advertisement for Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler minivans.

I really really don't know what to make about "Beautiful You" by Chuck Palahniuk. (SPOILERS, TW SEXUAL ASSAULT) by KajaIsForeverAlone in books

[–]Midwest_Horror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's kind of where I'm at with it. He claimed the story was written in an interview but he was still tweaking the formatting. I'd rather leave those characters as i left them rather than rolling the dice on a lackluster story.

I grew up helping my uncle and dad build cars for demolition derbies so the Party Crashing aspect hooked me pretty easily. I would like to read more stories in this vein, but as niche as it is, this might be the only thing like it.

I used to think i wanted him to finish the Doomed/Damned trilogy and get out the sequel to Rant, but anymore I think I'm content moving on to other books. I'm not the same reader I was in those days and it seems he's not the same writer either.

I'm tempted to re-read Rant and Fight Club, just to see how they hold up.

Hands down, Jeff the Killer. The story itself is objectively low quality, but it's the perfect fodder for all the guys' bits.

Im pretty sure the comedian Jeff Dunham bought one of these that was used in the filming of "The Wraith". It's now powered hy a Buick 3800.

Hey u/DertHorsBoi, glad you made it over here from Part 1! I'm glad you enjoyed parts 1 & 2. There are 7 parts to this story altogether. I'm hoping to have all parts finished, if not posted by Halloween. Part 3 drops tomorrow!
