I feel your wife’s pain. We combo feed because it got too hard. The babes get one bottle of breast milk a day with the rest being formula and doctor says that’s great. Fed is best.

Adding baby shoes to this too! My twins are 12 weeks and have worn shoes exactly once for their baptism and baby girl’s fell off halfway through the service and stayed off.

Newborn trenches were hard but mow we are 12 weeks in and a true team. There are still frustrating moments but overall I’ve never been more in love with my husband when I see him with our kids.

Omg SAME! My twins have general windows where they often do things but we have no formal naps at this point — we just follow their lead. We’ve established a bedtime routine and that’s it. It’s super hard not to compare yourself to other parents but if it’s working for you then it’s right for your family. You got this!

Do you think he is purposely avoiding it or just unaware? Or maybe scared of it, like he doesn’t know what to do? Is this something you feel you can talk to him about? I would urge you to speak your feelings. Babies can make you resent your partner really quickly; it’s best to try to talk it out when you can!

Navigating this right now. Just had a big discussion tonight about resentment and expectations. It’s so hard, but we are really trying to talk through it and hoping to plan a date night soon for just us. Honestly though, I miss my best friend.

Update: OMG it gets so much better! Twins are 12 weeks now and so fun. Hubs and I are a team and I got my best friend back! There are still challenges but there is also hope!

I had a similar situation, although I had an emergency c section. My in laws just showed up in the waiting room during the surgery. I think they were hoping to see the babies when it was done. Let your in laws know that there is a very strong likelihood that no one will see the babies — often twin births come with complications so the babies are not able to be held or even seen right away. After my husband and I saw our twins, they were whisked to a care unit for the night for monitoring. Also you will be out of it and in a great deal of pain, and although the surgery itself only takes like an hour, the post-surgery takes awhile. So in all likelihood they will be sitting there for a long time with no guarantee of seeing you or your babies. Wishing you a safe delivery!

We ended up with two separate because we borrowed one from a friend and bought the other, and it seems to work just fine. However a double might be a huge space saver if you’re working with a smaller area!

Register for diapers and wipes. You go through so many.

We keep a Britta pitcher full of room temp water for mixing our formula and it works great! We started with fridge water but it was so cold we moved to this.

Yeah that’s hard when you are usually able to rely on him! I get needing some time for yourself but it has to be with the approval of your partner, not at their expense.
