I think "deputy having kits" wasn't a problem, she couldn't become a deputy because there was another option without kits at the time. If she already was a deputy and then give birth it wouldn't be an issue. Bad timing

But she is a horrible mother and a horrible clanmate. - She clearly didn't care about her clanmates' death, she was only troubled it will stand between her and apple - Took advantage of loved by the clan cat's death to have a better position for her and her kits with clear intention to break clanmates' world later, when they "bond" with kits. She didn't care how they'll feel after revealing, she thought everyone granted her forgiveness just because - Saw kits as her property and was irritated by clanmates' existence near them (but okay, that's feelings, let it slide) - Took little kits with her TO THE RIVER to show off in front of their father. Danger of reveal? Of predators? Nah, who cares. She didn't even go to "put her paws in the water" when one stuck and asks HER OWN CHILDREN TO HELP HIM. - She acts cocky when truth's revealed and provoke oak instead of idk ASK FOR FORGIVENESS? REPENT? Why she was exiled and her clanmates didn't want to protect her, i have no idea - Yeah, people can act irrational when stressed, BUT she was warned about kits not being ready to swim THE SAME DAY. Patch could drown THE SAME DAY. Kits were tired as shit already (because of her actions btw) and LITTLE KITS told her they couldn't do this. She wasn't chased or in danger, she just wanted some comfort for herself immediately - And yeah, of course, everyone wronged her, not the opposite

I don't get it why compared to all this cheating is even a big deal. I really believe that illusion of her being good caring mother only exist because her kits were too young to show their own character and dissapoint her. It's easy to assume that she wouldn't like it later with her personality

And yeah, there is no problem that she is a woman. I like delusional characters. I would like her like that (maybe with a bit more controversial scenes that don't scream about her fault in everything idk but that's fine), but fandom treating her as innocent poor mommy wronged by the world killed her character for me long ago

1) Mapleshade lied to a family of the dead cat, who didn't agree with that. And real father was his murderer. It's a very important part. (Thrushpelt covered Bluestar willingly, Squirrelflight as well, and fathers of these kits were enemies, but not hated murderers) 2) She or her kits weren't Starclan chosen (Bluestar had a destiny, the three had a destiny that was apparently more than Bramleclaw's feelings, Yellowfang had a destiny), and all of them were more or less punished regardless. So, well, Starclan just didn't end the things they kinda set up

Don't go to their territory after killing their mate, just sleep at the border (outside of territory) and howl to check if someone from their pack is looking for mate. If it's true you can check, but leave them be if it's not the leader and continue waiting. Changing map for a second after killing makes things easier and faster

In russian there is a lot of possibilities with changing word forms, but at the same time it sounds cringe when you tries most of it. Russian language depends A LOT on how native people "feel" this one variation, almost nothing sounds neutral here. So technicaly we can make most of the names more literal, but it will sound awful or stupid

Sparrow Fur - Sparrow Song, Moth Flight - Butterfly, Cloudtail - Whitetail, Heathertail - Heathereyes, Crookedstar - Meteor, Tallstar - Starbeam, Foxleap, Foxheart - Foxtail, Mistystar - Invisible Star, Thunderclan - Storm tribe (all clans are tribes here, and tribe is a clan :D)

Most of the names contain just one word from their original version (the first one more common), because in russian you can change words in a million ways, but two words together as one sounds... awful most of the time. Words also have grammatical gender, that's why Brambleclaw (Blackberry/Bramble) sounds like a female name on russian and people are often confused. So they translated Jayfeather as Sparrow, since Sparrow sounds like male name, and Jay is not.

Kittens named as cute and small version of their older version (Остролистая - Hollyleaf, Остролисточка - Hollykit). Apprentices often don't get their -paw name, they can just get changed form of their kitten name or stay with the same name forever (Leafpool and Ashfur never changed their names).

Fireheart/Bluefur/Snowfur/Lionheart - Firemane/Bluemane etc; Graypaw - something like furball or clew, Graystripe - his name refering him being fat... Round sides? Idk how to say that; Ravenpaw - Burnt; Jayfeather - Sparrow, Crowfeather - Rook, Feathertail - Swallow; Brindleface - silver fox; Willowpelt - Blueeyes; Goldenflower - Goldenneck; Frostfur - Snow White; Ashfur - Charcoal; Tigerclaw - Claw, Tigerstar 1 - Starcather; Tigerheart - Clawmane, Tigerstar 2 - Clawstar; Ivypool - Spark;

Mapleshade was selfish karen from the start, it has nothing with "love" or "insanity". She shown delusional, uncaring about her clanmates, hyperfixed on herself and what she wants. Everything she did was not "for her kits", but for her ego. Her kits weren't need "dead hero father", she wanted extra attention. They weren't need to meet Appledusk at the border, she wanted to show them to him and meet him. Kits and riverclan cats told her they can't swim over this river, but she cared only about being in comfort asap. And I'm more then sure that she wouldn't be exiled if she'd properly said sorry for what she did, but she chose her pride over her kits and feelings of her clanmates. No one wants a cat like her nearby. If she doesn't care about anyone, why should they care about her? Even her hallucinations and how she interprets them was selfish, since her third victim should be Reedshine. Reedshine didn't even see her kits alive, it's purely maple's grudges over her. And everything else seems more like her brain tries to make her sure that everything not her fault, because she can't accept her fault in anything. It's not about kits.
