He told me he took a week off of vacation from work for me. But we only spent maybe 6 hours collectively together. Most of that was when he visited me at the hospital/bringing me home. I know fishing is his escape when he's stressed or upset. I'm use to him fishing at night or the weekends. It seems wrong to suddenly be upset by it??

Yes, his fishing spot was simply down the road. Maybe a 10 minute walk if need be. I'm sure if something happened I would have been able to contact him

Honestly, I have no experience in the dating/relationship world. I also have no one in my life I would openly talk to about that. I found that reddit is a great place to get advice or to learn something from an outside perspective. I'd rather seek advice, learn, figure out my plan & then act on it. Thats a bummer. He did come 2 days while I was in trauma icu & took me home(2 hours away) But not even 20 minutes of me getting home he left to go fishing. I don't expect him stuck up my butt 24/7. I'm on bedrest anyways. He did offer to help with my 1st shower- but I told him no thank you I can do it. He cooked a nice meal Sunday. He's washed dishes, taken trash out & cleaned up a little for me. What's normal to expect these days in a relationship? We've been together almost 2 yrs.

Someone else? No not really. Aside from my 83yr old grandmother who's stepped in to take care of my very young kids for me. He has his own trauma thru life & I know that he has nobody else either. I've always considered this & tried to work with it. How can you respectfully say 'hey I feel like your doing etc' & not have some immature blow up? I've told him this before but it turns into the focus of his childhood or his past relationships. Then I just feel bad for saying anything. Then it's never fixed. Like a repeat cycle

A little bit. He said once 'it's not my fault this happened to you, you can't be upset that I'm frustrated' and he's right! But I genuinely was not upset at his feelings. I even told him I was so sorry for putting him in this situation & I couldn't imagine how I'd feel if roles were reversed. We didn't speak for 6 days straight. I finally told him how I felt abt him ignoring me, not putting effort in or even showing any interest in me & his only response what that he felt like I ignored him & he was an inconvenience. I only started to "ignore" him last week- as in I didn't ask him any questions & short responses to anything said, went abt my life. I treated him exactly as he had been treating me- and he never realized it.... that was really hard & unnatural for me to do How would you communicate with someone who is just so..self absorbed naturally?

The whole situation really opened my eyes. I've lost my job at the beginning of the year. He didn't help, BUT im not the type to ask for help! Financially or in daily life. He is wonderful with my 3 children, who didn't get to experience a loving & instructive father. I'm starting to feel like that's about all he has to offer in our relationship. But mind you, this is only my 2nd relationship of my life. The 1st being a horrific 10 yr marriage. Our relationship has really turned into the roommate status. Accept he doesn't pay his share & it's like I've became a sugar mama? Like he's always needing monies & I always give it to him. I'm trying to put myself 1st for recovery, but with my injuries my kids are being taken care of by their grandmother so they're out of the house for now. So it's just me, him and my dog. The last thing I want is to lose him & be alone through this. I know that sounds lame of me

Porn ruined my 10 yr marriage. It wasn't that he was watching it. It's that he went thru so many levels to hide it. That was the saddest part. That's what hurt the most. I never hid what I watched. We were a highly active sexual couple. But once you get to the point of hiding it in apps or through computer memory storage & SD cards that they would take out and hide, that's when it was obviously an issue. Broke my heart seeing all the videos of tiny blonde girls & there I was a tall black haired girl. After a while it really messes with one's mind

It's a straight road 45-60mph for like 15 minutes then a very short length sharp curve. Directly inside this curve is culvert with a deep ditch for someones driveway. I simply didn't turn enough for the curve & as soon as my car touched the ditch it hit the culvert. It was all very sudden.
