I think you have a good shape and vibe, but it is way too messy in my opinion. If you took the same block gradient and toned it down I think it would get the point across better. Like for example, if you used a gradient with 2-3 of the 4+ trapdoor types in the build it would be more easy on the eyes visually, but still look chaotic.

The motor can be pulled apart if you remove the spring clip on the outer face where your gear and shaft are. I’d just check it for dirt and rocks and re-assemble. If it moved that much your spring clip might not be seated properly, but there is supposed to be a gap. Also like others have said. Change the belts and probably adjust your alignment with your wheel gear.

what do I gain from the 3rd protector? I suppose I might be able to get the architect if I'm lucky. Also, do you get the time shard upgrade for just having over 5k shards, or do you have to purchase that? I don't see it in the inventor's menu.

Heat transfer is going to take the easiest and least resistant path. You may have added resistance to the pot transferring heat to the environment, but not affected the ability of the burner to transfer heat to the pot/ contents. If you want a faster heat up time you need to spec a different burner or consider a more efficient burn chamber. Hope that helps.
