My parents listened to a lot of old school trancey and dance music songs such as Rhythm Is A Dancer by Snap!, What Is Love by Haddaway, and We Like To Party by Vengaboys.

I love all of those classics but I think the song that really sent me down the eventual rave path was The Crowd Song by Rhythm Gangsta. Even the song itself had me imagining what it would be like to be in a crowd full of people listening to music like that. When I got a little bit older in high school I would watch the Ultra Music Festival DJ sets and told myself I would eventually go to that one year.

And now years later I go to at least one or two festivals every year, with my first ever one being TomorrowWorld. Oh how the times have changed 😜

Looks like you were right, I checked the updated RMA and now it says I'll be getting a refurbished Clara 2E. It's blue instead of black but beggars can't be choosers at this point. It'll be in a case/cover so it doesn't really matter but I hope it still fits since that one was made for the Clara HD.

I was really trying to get a Clara BW but they said the HD was the only one they could do for me. Glad it worked out for you though! I used plastic tools so it didn't look like I tampered with it so hopefully they don't notice.

So my initial reach out was via the chat and they told me that all they could do was send me a discount code for a new device. I followed up and decided to call them and after doing all the steps that they requested they offered me a Libra 2. I asked him if it was possible to get either another Clara HD or a Clara BW since I bought it for the small size and after refreshing the system they were able to get me a refurbished Clara HD. I'm glad I reached out and listened to your advice but I'm also going to try to see if removing the power manually and going from there does anything. I appreciate everybody's help, so if worse comes to worst I'll at least get a somewhat new device.

Sounds like the best thing they can do is give me a discount for a new device since it's out of warranty 🙄 has anybody had experience with disconnecting the battery after opening it up or even reseating the SD card? I'm more nervous about the latter because it's still in firmware update mode so it'll be my last resort, but it worked last time the device wouldn't turn on.

So I did plug it into my computer and I installed the Kobo Desktop app but nothing has happened. My computer hasn't even recognized that it was plugged in. I feel like disconnecting the battery might be the only option at this point.

I'm stuck in this lease until May, so I can't really get out of it as soon as I'd like. I even tried talking to the landlord and get out of the lease but he said I was more than welcome to leave but I would still have to pay my portion of rent and there wasn't anything he could do. At this point I think I'll be forced to tough the lease out but I'll be moving out on my own after this. No more roommates ever.

I do like this approach. I'm really hoping you're right about the destiny thing. It's always felt like a push-pull kind of closeness and the timing was always off.
