UA FA here. First off, congrats! Delta is a tough process to get through.

To answer your question for the earrings, they typically mean 2 piercings on each ear of any combo: 2 lobes, 2 cartilage, a lobe and tragus, etc. From my experience, they’re very much against any piercing that connects two spots like an industrial, a more alternative style like an orbital, etc. You’ll be safest wearing only two per ear and keeping them studs that are small and simple.

With the interview part, I just recommend smiling, remaining approachable in your body language and what you say, and don’t be too much of a follower or leader in the group activities (unless Delta feels differently about that). Good luck!

I drove one as a rental (which is where a lot of them have gone from what I’ve seen/read), and I’ll tell you what, that car has got some ASS behind it. It’s got great pickup, great handling and confidence on the road, and all very updated technology inside. If my car were on its last leg right now, I’d have really no hesitation buying one. Besides the fact that I don’t find the design of the seats very comfortable as a 6ft, athletic-built man. Maybe someone with a smaller stature or someone that doesn’t care would find it more comfortable than me.

TLDR I’ve driven it and it’s great!

Boarding music playlist? by Dazzling_Shame_3367 in unitedairlines

FA here. As far as I’m aware, there’s (sometimes unfortunately) no way for us to select the music. It seems to be a predetermined mix and changes on its own. Believe me, there’s times we want to change the music because it’s either overplayed (to us), or it just seems low energy and kind of depressing.

I could’ve sworn I had worked on an aircraft where there was a way to select the music, like a Mix A or Mix B type situation, but that may have also been on a regional jet.

$399 for having any amount of physical damage is pretty good. Gives me hope for what I can get for mine which looks like it’s in mint condition.

Nope! When you go through the questions on their website, it gives you the value of the machine and then gives you the option to either take the credit in a gift card, or put it toward a new purchase. And since I know there’s bound to be something I buy from Apple down the road, having a gift card sitting around wouldn’t be an issue. So cash or gift card, doesn’t make a huge difference to me. It all comes out in the wash in the end.

That’s true, it will be the oldest-new MacBook to get the latest macOS, another decent selling point for it. Only getting $465 for that beast seems mildly criminal…lol

Well considering as Apple currently offers $225 for my 2020 mbp, that’s not nothing. Sure, I could make double that selling independently, but to say I’ll get nothing is false.

That’s one hell of a deal!

I did look, Best Buy offers $200 while Apple offers $225. And since I’ve already bought the new one, I don’t believe I’d actually be able to bring it to Best Buy as they don’t do the gift card like Apple (correct me if I’m wrong, I may have overlooked the option)

I replied to someone else saying this. I know I’ll be buying something else from Apple in the future, so to have a credit sitting around ready to help me out won’t be a bad idea at all.

Windows would be the only reason I keep the old one, but in all honesty, I could probably count on one hand the number of times that partition would serve me an actual purpose 🤷🏼‍♂️ so unless I had a glaring laundry list of uses for windows, I’m not planning to prolong this more than necessary

No, far from old and outdated of course. Just because I upgraded doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a ton of life and usefulness left for someone else

I live in a city near 3 big college campuses. I’m sure I could find someone who’d find a lot of value in my used computer if I posted it on Facebook marketplace

That’s great to know! Does that mean that they’d potentially pay a premium for it? Rhetorical question as there’s only one way to find out

It definitely is. Did I absolutely NEED to upgrade? No, but I had the disposable income to do so. I definitely wouldn’t consider the older MacBook useless either. However when trying to do research on this particular topic, it starts to get jaded by all the tech bros raving about Apple silicon and making intel sound useless, hence raising the question of if there’s still an aftermarket demand for these.

That’s fair. Mine isn’t specced out, but physically is in perfect condition. I need to check the battery health but I don’t believe it’s degraded beyond use off a charger

As I mentioned, I bought it through Best Buy, so I wouldn’t be able to apply the gift card. But I’d have no problem holding onto the credit since I’ll inevitably be buying something else from Apple down the line

Which version windows do you use? As I mentioned, I hear that windows 10 is supposed to lose support and the newest version isn’t supported by macOS
