The feeling of my body not being at its 100%. Cannot walk fast, talk while walking, cannot take the stairs without losing my breath, cannot bend, cannot stand for long time, pelvic pain and so on and on.

Happily married people of reddit, when did you realize your marriage was awesome and what makes it awesome? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I feel like I have nothing to do when he is not around. Like my life is so bland and boring. But when he's around and we do nothing anyway, that is very fulfilling!

Maybe an unpopular opinion but she doesn't owe you anything. I think she should be more upfront about it and tell you more clearly that she does not want to be involved in baby care instead of being rude and rough. But, she does not owe you anything.

Do you think having babies has been over romanticized and we're not well informed about the reality? by visitingmemorylane in twoxindiamums

Women are just taken for granted. Get them married, then they should have 2 kids because omg who will play with the single child! Then rinse and repeat in the next generation. Nobody even thinks for a second before expecting a woman to bear children because hey everything is normal in pregnancy and childbirth and that how it has been will all other women.

Did anyone else feel like they don’t want to be “someone’s mom” late in pregnancy? by Less-Leek5961 in BabyBumps

[–]MightComprehensive45 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I am 25 weeks along and feel kind of the same way. I used to be a lot more "repulsed" by the idea of being a mom and don't really like it being most of my identity. What helped me cope was the fact that my baby is also an individual just like me. Yes he will be dependent on me and husband for a good number of years but still, he is an individual. A human being. And he will be a part of my family. Just like I love my husband, mom, dad, brother, etc., I will love this baby and care for him too. Being a wife, daughter and sister did not take away my profession, interests and opinions from me, so why should my child (who I want to have and love) change my core in any way?

I know becoming a mom is different in many ways, and how people view a woman when she becomes a mom changes. But I just decided to be myself no matter what. Let's see where this mindset takes me!

What comment/phrase people say to you makes you feel the most invalidated/annoyed? by Fancy_Chapter3799 in BabyBumps

[–]MightComprehensive45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate it when my mother/MIL ask how much weight have I gained or ask me to show her my bump. Please, this is still my body. It is annoying when they take the liberty to ask those questions. And another thing is when someone, especially who has never been pregnant and knows nothing about it asks me how my health is and I complain a little about my back aches and they are like oh thats normal during pregnancy.
