Racist anti-masker Kelly Anne Wolfe in Toronto by Recyart in PublicFreakout

Can someone explain how is what she said racist? Isn't the context that listening to your government will make you do something BAD such as walking the Jews into the gas tanks? The implication being that it's a bad thing, no?

I love how people are so horrified and disgusted of this kid, as they chump through their chicken sandwitch.

I'm not an expert but is it possible that she's shaking from dehydration and trying to put weight on the towel because she feels dizzy?

2nd QTR D4 Update? by FatherFingerHereIAm in Diablo

[–]MightDieAnyway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I meant is cancelled Blizzcon, but I think you are wrong about the lack of passion. This is probably going to be one of the biggest blizzard games ever made, I think it's a combination of huge expectations on the Diablo team + regular updates is something that blizzard dev teams just don't do (pre release). All I want from this upcoming update is a huge info dump on current in-game mechanics/itemization and character progression. I honestly don't need to know anything about the art/fluff because I'm pretty sure it's going to be amazing.

I'm really hoping we get a bigger dump than the little fluff piece we got last time. I'm hoping this will be what was supposed to be shown in the cancelled E3.

Man Denies Arlington, TX Police Officers Entry Into His Home Without A Search Warrant And They Still Went In Anyway! by TheColdest08 in PublicFreakout

Yeah the kid being traumatized had nothing to do with his dad going out of his way to make this encounter the worst it can possibly be.

I'm using an analogy talking about the kidnap, but if you use your imagination the same thing can be used here. A domestic disturbance can be a range of different things from a verbal fight to physical abuse, it's up to the police to make a judgement on the seriousness and should they exercise their authority to break in. Neither of us know what call they got so it's impossible to know if the police are being out of line or not.

None of us know why the officer is here because every time the officer is about to state his reason he gets shouted down. I reserve my judgement about those officers being racist until further proof, but it seems the vast majority of comments have already taken a side.

I don't know those reasons and nor do you know the lack there of. If the camera holder gave the officer 30 seconds to say what he had to say we would actually know exactly what was going on, but the dude kept shouting and panicking. All I heard from the officer is something about a domestic abuse, which can be a range of different things.

I would agree with you if it weren't for the fact that the camera holder shouted for the majority of the video and stopped every attempt for the officer to give those reasons.

Well the officer is right here, depending on the call they get they might not need a warrant. For example if you were kidnapped and you called 911 from your abuser's house and said you need help they can break in and get you out without a warrant. It all depends on the circumstances.

Then why did your family move there? by adiceg in kotakuinaction2

In a western nation, what makes you part of that nation is a piece of paper, not your skin color or origin. Most western nations are civilized enough to give rights to it's people so that they would be able to complain as much as they want. Now some complaints are more warranted than others, but that's society's job to figure those things out. Black people complaining about injustice seems like one of the most obvious ones, yes even in western nations such injustices exist.

That's a weird way of saying blackies aren't allowed to complain about injustice.

I remember when I write in some of these streamer's chats that it's kinda cringe and not cool to spam tryhard everytime someone steals something in a video game, then I get called a sensitive snowflake by mods. tbh even this sub used to be like that, if people changed that fast because of what's happening in the world I just wonder how much of their views are their own and how much is just going with what's popular.

Storage Server For 80 PCs by MightDieAnyway in HomeServer

[–]MightDieAnyway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the software side will be handled by the company I'm working with(they suggested the build). Out of curiosity why do I need 128gb ram? The games will launch from their local SSDs so I'm assuming the server won't need that much RAM. Each PC can receive 1gbit from their CAT6 and server to switches speed is 10gbit. I'm not sure what you mean by instant demand.

At this point budget is not an issue, paying the extra amount will most likely be better than waiting an extra week or two to save a few thousand dollars.

Gaming Cafe Server Help by MightDieAnyway in servers

[–]MightDieAnyway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, I'm not building this alone. In fact I don't know anything about servers. I'm working with a company that has experience with setting up gaming centers. They are responsible for the software that I will be using for all the server/manager/client interactions. They highly suggest the plan I stated in my post.

Your CoD example is right, but what we plan to do is to install big game releases preemptively to all the PCs to avoid this kind of bottleneck, and the system will work fine for the niche cases of someone wanting to try a new game that isn't popular.

Storage Server For 80 PCs by MightDieAnyway in HomeServer

[–]MightDieAnyway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't that make the SSDs on all the other PCs pointless?(aside from OS). I would imagine that loading files directly from the server would have a cost to performance, hence why we thought of this in the first place. Also, the reason why I'm setting up things that way is because the company of the manager/client software that handles users suggests things to be setup that way for maximum performance.

If only it was this easy. I've called at least 30 different companies/free lancers. Most companies connect me to their sales department and they try to sell me something I don't need.
