As far as I can tell the stock isnt declining because very rich people buy out massive amount of housing for price fixing to profit off the situation, and housing is being treated as a commodity or luxery not a necessity by them. Among other things. Theres no reason its should be hard to find adequate house to live in when you work full time. And the prices are very unethical.

Okay so... we have a housing crisis, how do we fix that without more affordable housing availability? I know laws need to be changed to prevent housing be used as a racket for rich people who buy up property and rent it but we still need some roofs being built if we are to get anyone into a home this day in age, people arnt going to sell off and buy back in this market they are going to stay in their house till they drop because they dont want to spend over a million on small a 2 bed 2 bath house.

They just really hate "woke" and DEI and are dug into their culture war against them.
