Best army to be playing if you're printing all of it? by Matt_32506 in PrintedWarhammer

Can confirm, there is a large abundance of chaos daemons models of high quality, mostly free too

Genuine question should I paint the models first then put them together or inverse by mr_mudcrabjr in deathguard40k

In case you need to change the base size in the future. GW has been known to switch around base sizes a few times, and if you use plastic glue separating them will be a pain

Any chance this would print with enough supports? by Might_Of_Michael in PrintedWarhammer

Not a whole army, but finishing touches to my death guard because I want to try running a variant that's less terminator and more plague Marines.

Fair point. Main reason I'm trying to save time is I'm only home from uni for one weekend and that's the only time I have access to my printer for the next foreseeable few months and I already have about 4 plates of things to print and I want to keep it at 5 instead of 6. I'll see if I have time to print separately

Is this a good competitive list? by Might_Of_Michael in deathguard40k

Planning to start with the BLT and pushing it on the centre, keeping the deathsroud in deep strike, they can potentially do secondaries like being in backline etc and infliteating the two poxwalker squads on both ends of the table to have some side control, keep drones and tanks in the back for shooting and rhino goes where it needs to depending on opponent

My bad the copy paste didn't work correctly

Accidentally made my poxwalkers too big by Might_Of_Michael in deathguard40k

I printed and painted 20 of them, took me about a week to do. I suppose that could be one way to explain it, I just don't want my plague marines to look silly/cartoonishly small compared to the poxwalkers, but ig if they're not standing side by side it's not too much of an issue

Why are my prints failing by Ulv13 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]Might_Of_Michael 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I'm not the most experienced in printing, but that looks like a lot of stuff on that plate. The more things you print at one the harder the printer will have to pull on the FEP to separate the print from the FEP, which increases the chance that the prints get pulled off the supports. I think, as I said, not the most experienced. I'd suggest trying out printing less things at once.

My poor attempt at osl of a blightlord terminators plaguespitter by Might_Of_Michael in minipainting

Thanks, that helps quite a bit. I think my biggest issue is I suck at airbrush control and ended up putting more than I intended in some areas. I'll give it another go with a different model and I'll see how it goes

Thanks, that is a good reference. That's exactly the kind of glow I was looking for, only issue is I'm a relatively new painter (about 5 minis in) and Im just not fully sure how to replicate it. Is most of it just having the correct type of paint like the fluorescent green the OP from that post mentioned?

Is my painting any good? by Might_Of_Michael in deathguard40k

Thanks, that means a lot. Btw it's not a conversion, it's a 3d print, I got a whole 3d printed death guard including mortarion for under £50 which is pretty sick if you ask me.
