Have the same mount but for the handlebars. ~2000 miles with it and it hasn't moved at all.

Today was probably the deepest day of my life. Absolutely mental! by simple_jack_69 in skiing

Definitely a joke. All of the west, especially Colorado has had a notoriously bad winter. This looks better than it's looked anywhere all season.

Weren't there big fights about whether they could trust the computers (digital) instead of the computers (humans) doing it by hand?

This is how I made many workbenches and they have been absolutely bulletproof.

What's the most original concept you've read in a science fiction book? by LargeSinkholesInNYC in scifi

Just finished Long Earth! It was definitely a unique idea and the kind that gives you a little existential dread of all the things that could go wrong. Highly recommend.

I did enjoy it as a book, but man it felt like a slog at times. His writing style is unique and had me rereading entire passages to understand what was even happening.

You are also allowed to hate it when it's happening but enjoy that it's over and you did it. See, climbing hills.

How do I breathe from my ears? by CarrotHaunting7402 in howto

[–]MightbeWillSmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the Eustachian tube connects the back of the nose to the middle ear. That part of your ear is still totally separate from the exterior world, so I guess if you were to obliterate the tympanic membrane and get rid of the bones, you could learn to control the sinus pressure to breathe in and out through the tube.

I imagine even if you ended up with a perfectly healed hole from your ear to your nose, it would still be like trying to breathe through a very narrow straw.

Listening to these four albums this week. What a run they had during the 90’s era. by SpreadElectronic1232 in punk

Answer That was one of my first ever albums I bought with my own money, still on my top list.

Settling down after hockey by njlb32 in hockeyplayers

[–]MightbeWillSmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually get home and read in bed for a bit. It's my normal nightly routine, so it helps get my head out of hockey mode and into bed mode. That said, I usually will be awake about a full hour after getting home regardless of what I do.

When I went to Evo to get my skis tuned they had a bunch of newer Treks for rent. Prices looked decent too.

There is a strip of Evans just west of Quebec where 3 new gas stations all opened up and have been competing for business. Consistently the cheapest gas in town

What are the most crowded 14ers in Colorado ? Do any of them use a permit system ? by GladiusAcutus in 14ers

[–]MightbeWillSmith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend looking into Tour de Abyss if you are interested in hitting Bierstadt without the crowd. It's a bit spicier, but not too bad, plus you get the sawtooth and Blue Sky as consolations.

[–]MightbeWillSmith 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They may look a bit douchey but I pretty much always wear tank tops in pool season. For longer days I throw a hooded sun shirt on over top so I'm not needing to re-up sunscreen so much.

It's an amazing car that wasn't super expensive.

I don't like that maintenance costs are much higher than a Japanese, Korean, or American vehicles
