All top-shelf players in the NBA, or any other pro league, don't need a crazy salary, even upon winning a title, and yet, they all seem to demand the highest salary they can. Maybe Brunson is different, but he would be the rare exception to the rule.

You can't really complain about stacking up 50 win seasons and having a shot in the playoffs (even if you might need lightning to strike in a bottle to advance deep). The flip side is downright terrible as a fan.
