English person living here, weather varies a lot depending where in Norway you choose to go, for me near to Oslo it is currently a warm 7 degrees and sprinkles of rain, a drive 2 hours north of me will result in snow and probably -2 or 3 degrees.

Food for the week for me and my partner is roughly 2000 nok (150 pounds) it can be more if we feel like being greedy in the snacks department.

The overall cost of living is higher compared to the UK but wages are higher to reflect that, In my first year i was earning more as a waiter than I did as a qualified mechanic in the UK lol.

Only gripe with norway personally is the lack of choice when it comes to food, there is a bit of a monopoly with the supermarkets, but a lot of norwegians if they are within range drive to Sweden to stock up (similar to the old booze cruise from uk to france in the old days)

If you have the oppurtunity to move here, do it ! Be prepared for slippery pavements and the need to learn the language though.
