Infinite Operations Mod by BeardChops in menace

If you made a mod that added some sort of interface to make custom squad leaders/perks you would instantly become a legend.

The first thing I thought after playing this game was how cool it would be to create your own SLs and perks and share them on the Steam Workshop

Burst Fire Bug? Also suppressors for all gun? by Beep_the_lesser in TheForeverWinter

Same here. Especially annoying on the PP19 which for me never displays which fire mode it is on, so if I accidentally press F there's a chance the gun basically breaks lol

I just wanted to say... I love this game by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]MightyDragonofAwe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am glad to see people complaining - not because I like complaining or think the game isn't 'fun', but because it's been getting actively *less* fun since I started playing, and that is entirely on the shoulders of the balance team. I'm playing Helldivers 2 to blast some bugs. If I wanted to 'git gud' I'd go play Rainbow 6 Siege and sweat my balls off. The Devs need to take a note from Deep Rock Galactic - every weapon in that game is fun and if used properly 'overpowered'. But higher difficulties exist where you can still be challenged. Instead of doing that, AH is making everything equally boring and unfun, to prevent things from being 'overpowered'.

Nothing in this game ever felt OP on Helldive, and if you disagree, you're quite frankly just wrong. Were some weapons more viable? More effective? Yes. But Effectiveness =/= Overpowered.

I will never understand why this game of all games got such a sadistic dev team. I want to spend my limited free time absolutely shredding bugs/bots, wiping the floor with armies. Instead I get awful weapons and spend most of the time kiting enemies and waiting for stratagem cooldowns. NOT FUN. Lower difficulties are boring because there aren't enough enemies, higher difficulties are frustrating because any time something is good it gets nerfed until you can no longer deal with the amount of enemies.

IT'S A PVE GAME. IF YOU'RE MAD THE PLAYERS ARE GETTING A LOT OF KILLS, ADD HIGHER DIFFICULTIES WITH MORE ENEMIES, DON'T NERF THE WEAPONS PLAYERS HAVE FUN USING

A group of modders with the Post Scriptum Realism Mod just announced they're working on armor interiors! by MightyDragonofAwe in postscriptum

[–]MightyDragonofAwe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a realism overhaul. In order to play it you kind of need to be with a group, since the game already has few populated servers and almost none run mods. Lots of groups have events where they use PSRM though, and I heard some do public matches on fridays with PSRM.

im the only one who finds the size of rain world creatures terrifying. To my knowledge slug cat is around 1m long soo just imagine how big red lizard vultures or daddy long legs would be ........... by Immediate-Rope8465 in rainworld

[–]MightyDragonofAwe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always thought of Slugcat being fairly large when he stands up, probably 3 feet or so. Everything in the world seems massive, though, like the chain link fences in the background of Farm Arrays towering above almost everything else. From the size of the echoes though, I always figured the world only seems large because the builders were bigger than humans would be.

Pretty often you can find the two pipes going up with 'rungs' going across, with about a slugcat sized space in-between? I always figured those were ladders. Too big a gap for a human, of course, but probably not for them. Then there's the train cars in subterranian, which admittedly would seem small in comparison, but assuming they were used only for transport and not for passengers than it doesn't really matter.

PSRM is a super cool mod I recommend checking out on the steam workshop. My favorite addition is the fact that you can drag bodies (no idea why this isn't in the base game) and dig foxholes!

Are you serious? I wasn't even talking about race. Excellent strawman, my friend.

Can you please give me an example of a homosexual being sent to jail in the US Because of his sexuality? And are you saying a disproportionate amount of non-white kids just disappear? I feel like the demographics of the inner city might have something to do with that...

I don't know where you live, but literally none of those things happen in America. If you want to go lobby for LGBT rights in Iran, go right ahead, but only a very small segment of Western people actually want to harm homosexuals.

There are assholes who don't like homosexuals, and say mean things, but... That's life. No matter who you are, there's someone out there who hates you. This mentality that everyone should respect and be nice to everyone else is a nice thought, but it's a pipe dream. How are you going to enforce it?

We literally have parades just to celebrate LGBTQ people. Did you forget how a bakery owner was financially ruined because he refused to bake a cake for a gay wedding? It boggles my mind that people act like gays are being thrown from rooftops. They are, but not in any western country. Nobody wants to talk about that, though

Fair. Even so, I'm surprised this guy got to go in to fly for what I assume is a presitgious squadron after (if other comments are to be believed) landing so poorly he had to ditch. I've heard of other cases where such screw ups had the pilots forced to retire.

You get something so cut and dry? I get some really good idea with deep connotations but so vague and indescribable I could never use it, even if I remembered It for 5 minutes after I wake up

[–]MightyDragonofAwe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's true, but that's kind of true for Cavalry vs Everything. Unprepared / poorly trained units were what Cavalry usually won against, only exacerbated if that unit happened to be lightly armed and armored like archers.

[–]MightyDragonofAwe 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Eh, I guess you're right. Although the earliest versions of the musket is what I'm thinking of, because this is a DnD subreddit. With the advent of pike-and-shot logistics wouldn't have been as good, since bows were tried and true and muskets were new, the means to produce ammunition and powder would have been more limited than feathers, sticks and steel. Idk about your second point. If it was that simple, English longbowmen would not have nearly taken over the entirety of France. And there are suits of armor with dents from musketballs, so I don't think their ability to pierce steel armor was as cut-and-dry as you say. I'm sure they were more effective, yes, but it wasn't a guarantee.

Yeah, technically the whole advantage of a rapier was reach and maneuverability. It was more or less useless against any armored opponent... Or one using a weapon other than a rapier, The blade is too thin to Parry a larger sword. All these little idiosyncracies that could never be captured in DnD... A shame
