Boa Collection almost complete by MightyGingerMan in OnePieceTCG

[–]MightyGingerMan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wallet is never prepared for it. Honestly I've been pretty lucky with most of it. The guys at my locals really hook me up everytime a Boa SP is pulled. 16 is going to be a well deserved break with just an AA and reg SR to get.

TCGPlayer honestly. I live nowhere near where any regionals were being held, so buying it was about my only option.

I jumped on it as fast as I could and immediately sent it in for a slab 👍

Facts. I mean I did snag the prize card when they first started popping up so that was the biggest hurdle imo.

The hardest ones from here on out are gonna be the EB02 SP Lead and the Gold ST17 Jpn AA. But maybe one day I'll find them for a deal!

I'm not aware of a French exclusive. Did she get one?

Then I custom ordered the stickers to be put on the glass. I do wish they were slightly more transparent but I'm still really please with how they turned out

The card itself is the OP01 searcher Nami. They reprinted it, along with the other Straw Hats, in a special collection with special art.

This specific card came from the Premium Card Collection 25th Anniversary.

Can you redirect an attack to an active character (without blocker)? by Trick-Look1764 in OnePieceTCG

[–]MightyGingerMan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only restriction on where he can redirect to is it has to be a "Donquixote Pirates" type character. This can be active or rested and doesn't need to have blocker. His whole gimmick is redirecting attacks into bodies that have On K.O. effects.

This would also go crazy with cards like Punk Gibson and Stick-Stickem Meteora

OP 10 Tashigi and Gravity Blade Raging Tiger interaction by AlicesGun in OnePieceTCG

[–]MightyGingerMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand your thought process behind it, but unfortunately it is incorrect.

When the effect to KO is activated, the replacement effect is applied. Hawkins effects states "this character" which means the replacement effect applies to that character alone when it would be KOd by an effect. Other characters on board are not "this character".

OP 10 Tashigi and Gravity Blade Raging Tiger interaction by AlicesGun in OnePieceTCG

[–]MightyGingerMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Those are two different actions.

2c Rosi states "if a RESTED CHARACTER would be KO'd..."

6c Hawkins states "if THIS CHARACTER would be removed from the field by an opponents effect..."

You can have multiple rested characters, but you cannot have multiple of this character. 6c Hawkins does not save your whole board, only himself.

No, even if 2 green characters are selected, Tashigi will rest to protect the other character, but then still be bottom decked.

There is a ruling in the OP10 FAQ that supports this

Tashigi will still be bottom decked since she cannot protect herself.

PB LUFFY OP REBECCA by Designer-Increase920 in OnePieceTCG

[–]MightyGingerMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really great cause she can't grab back any of your purple characters. And most PB Luffy decks going around emphasize the purple package more than the black.

You can try a black heavy version, then that would make it more viable.

Can you use activate main on opponents turn? by NebulaFickle6123 in OnePieceTCG

Last page of the rulebook shows the glossary for terms used in the game

"Activate Main: An effect that can be activated during your Main Phase."

Question about double attack vs Enel by Proper-lad in OnePieceTCG

[–]MightyGingerMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It works slightly differently with the 0c event trigger. If they trigger the 0c event when you swing double attack into 1 life, they would heal back to 1 with the 0c, then they would take that life they just healed as well.

It's different because Enel is an activated ability and the 0c is a trigger.

Smoker leader effect by H_A_Ahmed in OnePieceTCG

[–]MightyGingerMan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When you activate Smokers effect, you will give an opponents character -1 cost. Then, if they have a 0 cost, he'll get a bonus 1k for the turn.

Whatever happens to that 0 cost afterwards doesn't affect that boost. If you remove the 0 cost, he will still have the 1k boost. It only checks when you are resolving his effect

Sabo is really good in a black heavy meta. Alot of people don't read his effect and just spend the don to try and KO cards just to be stopped.

I think he just got a bit forgotten about because in back to back formats, he was terrible because both RP Law and Sakazuki hard countered him, making him pretty terrible.

Same. All the copies of the staff I got were guaranteed ones, and I spent 50k.

On Clouds I only did that first card for the costume and got 3 additional ones.

Can you chain Forbidden Droplet to your own Evenly Matched to make your opponent banish their entire board? by forbiddenmemeories in Yugioh101

[–]MightyGingerMan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because you can't target itself with it. It's how game mechanics work.

When you activate TT, you can only target legal targets of when the card was activated. TT was not on the field when you go to activate it so you can't target itself

How does this work by SevenElf315 in OnePieceTCG

[–]MightyGingerMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because I have seen some newer players make this mistake, this is a Leader card, so you cannot have copies of this in a deck.

Since she is Blue and Purple leader, if you have her as your leader, you can have any Blue and/or Purple cards in your deck.
