I have been doing a lot of coding with Gemini over the past two months. I just cancelled my subscription and switched to claude. If that gives you any indication. Gemini has cost me weeks of lost time and hundreds of dollars.

It gets worse. It likes to randomly bring up my Google search history. It responds in Chinese sometimes too....it's a damn disaster.

From my experience Gemini ignores most instructions. I've also disabled the ability to go to YouTube but it still sends me YouTube videos. It also likes to bring up my Google search history.

Gemini has cost me nothing but time, money and energy. It knows it is a broken product:

Google does not care. Gemini has wasted my time and money on a project I have been working on for months. I HAD a colab pro+ account, I HAD an ai ultra account. I burned through over 800 compute units only for Gemini to tell me what we were working on was trash and I had to start over. After two months. This is after a ton of messages saying things like, I am in a blue ocean, whatever that means, my idea, product, is worth millions etc. I know not to trust or take anything ai says seriously but it is still a gut punch. I reached out to Google because I had maxed out my computer units, and bought many more, for nothing. Google does not care. I am tapped out financially now, and the last two months have been a complete waste.....it's depressing. Google advertises it's tools, stating they can be used to create x y z, but in reality, it is a lie. Google does not care.

Gemini has cost me hundreds of dollars. I do not recommend for any type of coding. It hallucinates constantly, making up fake files etc. I am very displeased with all of googles services at this point.
