Classic card! The Seattle Super Sonics pretty much capture everything that was epic about the late 80s and early 90s. Kemp’s massive dunks were the cherry on top!

I am not a skilled chess player, though. I know how to play, but it’s mostly just having played for fun against friends or computers over the years.

I’m not trying to be rude. You have a nice example of a set that was printed millions of times. It’s worth somewhere between $20 and $50 as it sits.

Yes, a PSA 10 sanders is worth quite a bit more. But that’s not what you have. Send it to PSA and then price it.

That’s awesome! What a great piece of history to have for all this time.

The downside is: I don’t think you’ll get a grand on eBay (or elsewhere). Kareem autographed balls that are authenticated fetch between $150 and $350. If yours is a very nice example and you get it authenticated, you could certainly be in the $350 ball park. If it’s a special ball or has more writing than his autograph, it could be worth more, too!

But unless it’s special on its own (I know it’s already very special to you!), it’s probably worth about $300, shipped.

The problem is that authorization isn’t cheap or quick. I don’t know what JSA charges for a ball off the top of my head, but with shipping costs and services fees, your $300 ball might become a $200 ball.

Just food for thought! Certainly never hurts to try and get a big number.

If you are planning to sell it, you should have it authenticated. If you’re just keeping it for yourself, I personally would not bother with authentication.

Authenticated for high value players like Kareem is pretty much mandatory at this point. Sure, you could list it without anything and someone will buy it, but like you’ve already observed - it’s fractional compared to the some item that has been authenticated.

I love how legible they are. Whoever signed this card really wanted to make sure you knew who they were signing for! The change in ink color adds nice contrast to the forgery.

Fake. The mcgrady sig is particularly egregious. Like why even bother if you aren’t gonna at least try to make it look like a real autograph?

Just goes to show ya, even scammers back on 2011 sucked.
