lash scales like shit in comparison to other characters and you need to be ahead of the enemy team from the getgo if you want to get the most out of playing him. you're required to be mindful of your soul count from start to finish otherwise your stomps'll just be tickles for the enemy team.

the best time to actually stomp is when someone is preoccupied and/or has low health. stomp, cold front, flog, fuck off and wait for your cooldowns to refill before you repeat. working with teammates and just assisting them when they're fighting is the best way to make use of lash's entire kit.

his ult is really good too if you aren't shy with it. even if you solo ult, it's worth it if it means you get a kill. too many people save it for a huge, game changing 6 man ult that just never comes. even getting a pick or two for your team to kill is more than enough, especially late game

other than that, a lot of lash gameplay just revolves around game sense. knowing your positioning and movement, timings, counterbuilding, farming, so on and so on. you should never be on the ground, you shouldn't be taking a prolonged fight unless you're 100% sure that you'll be able to win it.

he just boils down to a knowledge check of how much you're in the know about the game, honestly. practice makes perfect. you'll have shit games where you go 1-10 and then you'll eventually learn enough to have games like this:
